Hi! I have no clue about the bag.. I'm assuming it was a special gift but since I got it from a DISer, I'm not sure.

The trip looks awesome! I'm the same way about decorations - I was concerned that there would be a lot of Christmas decorations up in November but there weren't many at all.

That pic with the bird "on" your cupcake is too darn funny; there is just no way you could have set that up any better. I tried the same cupcake from the BW and it was alright; it looked better than is tasted but it was still a nice treat. I am biased- I make smores cupcakes and they are delish so I am quite the judge of everyone else's baked goods lol. But I don't have awesome birds attacking me and hijacking my pictures lol. It's so funny, I laugh every time I see it.

You get to go back to WDW! YAY! So exciting. I am happy for you; have fun and enjoy yourself.

Hi everyone!!

We had a really fun, eventful trip! Parts of it were disappointing but the majority of it was AMAZING!

Hair Trial​

DON'T USE THE S/D SPA. My hair trial was AWFUL.

First of all, my stylist barely spoke any English and was really difficult to communicate with-- not ideal when you're trying to convey your bridal look. My mom is fluent in Spanish and they had to converse in Espanol because things just weren't going well in English.

I brought my hair trial picture and she said she had done the style before. I was excited hoping that meant it would look good.. nope.

Here is the front.. which doesn't at all match my inspiration picture. She said this looked "better".

The back doesn't look right either..

AND, then it started to fall out as soon as we hit the Boardwalk.

We went to Welcome Home Wednesday where I met Jeff Galloway! He was super nice and inspiring! I am now so excited for our Princess 5k!

We left Welcome Home Wednesday to go back to the S/D Spa to complain about my hair because it now looked like this.. Seriously, this was not even an HOUR later.

I never complain but I was all ready to fight for my money. Shockingly, the girl was like "Okay. Here's your refund" and that was that. It took 2 minutes. I don't know if that was because they have excellent customer service or if they are used to their customers complaining..

I am now going to email Diana for her hair recommendation. I think I may go with Beaute Speciale just because I've heard wonderful things-- still want to check with the planner first!

Cake Tasting with It's Tasty Too!​

Girls, I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and I'm picky about my cake. Heather, the owner, of It's Tasty Too really delivered. I liked every single piece of cake I tried. She was super sweet and was patient with me-- I had no idea what I wanted as far as a design but this is what we came up with! The whole cake will be white and ivory with a satin finish EXCEPT for the ribbon band which will alternate coral and teal.

I love it! DFi and I are going back next week for another tasting since he wasn't able to come with me the first time.

Our flavors right now are: lemon with cream cheese frosting (middle two tiers) and funfetti with buttercream (top and bottom tier).

For anyone using It's Tasty Too, you are in WONDERFUL hands!! Don't worry!

Mommy's Birthday!!​

The next day we went for a trail ride at Ft. Wilderness! Both my mom and I love horses and riding. We LOVED the ride!! Our horses were so sweet and our guides- Jenny and Jenna- were super fun to talk to and very nice!

That night we went to 1900 Park Fare. I was really only interested in seeing Lady T and the Step Sisters.. not a big Cindy fan.

I'll be honest, I wasn't too impressed with 1900 Park Fare.. It was super busy and loud. I don't think we'd go back.

Cindy and the Prince were pretty typical. BUT, the Step Mother/Sisters were HILARIOUS! We had an awesome time with them!!

The Prince was LESS than impressive, IMO:

After that, we went to bed! We were pooped and it was cold! Us Florida girls don't do well with the cold..

Shannon!! ​

The next morning we packed up and headed over to POP for a quick breakfast.. why? BECAUSE MY SWALPHIN SHANNON WAS ARRIVING THAT DAY!

My mom and I waited for Shannon and her mommy to get off the ME and then I attacked Shannon with a hug! We talked for a good amount of time. It was SO nice to meet a DISer, especially Shannon. My mom and I both loved Shannon and her mom.. Shannon and I decided that we're twins. We wanted to stay longer but we had to hit the road and Shannon had to head to the Expo to pick up her race packet because she ran (and finished!!!) the Marathon! Go girlie!

My mom and I are planning a trip to VA to visit my aunt and attend a DAR convention. I'm hoping that I can see Shannon again when I'm up there!

Plus.. my mom and I are considering renting a Swan boat and paddling by Shannon's wedding ceremony at 10am on her wedding day..

Overall, it was a great trip!!

Honeymoon News!​

Initially, DFi and I were just going to stay at WDW for the week. We are DVC members so our resort would've been booked on points. It was going to be a pretty cheap honeymoon!

Well, DFi decided that HE wanted to plan and surprise me with a honeymoon!! I had a panic attack because I was really content with planning the honeymoon and with it's price tag... BUT, he was insistent. He now is officially planning the honeymoon and has already put a deposit down! At first I was nervous but now I'm super excited! Can't wait for 12/23/12 now! Forget the wedding!

What a quick, but mostly fun trip!

Wow, can't believe how bad the S/D hair trial went. That is awful! I always say that I am going to head over there for a service when we stay at the BC, but I never pull the trigger. Now, I see what I don't. Sorry it happened to you. For a recommendation, I am using Janet Mednick (onsite beauty) and she seems great so far.

Glad you cake tasting went well. Their cakes look so good.

Looks like Mom had a great birthday. We love 1900PF, sorry it wasn't great for you. The Step Mother and Step Sisters are awesome! I don't know why they can't find a good Prince Charming for there. We have always had just so-so ones.

You are very trusting on the honeymoon. There is no way, I would be, but I have booked all of our travel now for over 10 years! I can't wait to hear where Max has picked. Is he going to give you a hint, so you can pack??

Since you live in Boynton, you will appreciate this. One of my favorite restaurants when I lived there and visit is the Ale House on Gateway. Well, a few weeks ago, they opened one in Boston!!! I am so excited! I get my Zingers! Just had to share.

Boo about the hair trial! That is awful that it completely fell out within an hour. Lucky for you that you did a trial and didn't just go with them for your wedding! At least they gave you your money back. I'm using Jackie from Beaute Speciale, she's awesome. I loved her at my trial and can't wait to work with her again.

Wow! I can't believe what a disaster your hair trial was! I'm so glad you got your money back and that it was just the trial!!! I had Heather from Makeover Maven (recommended by Karen from JM!) and loved her! I didn't have a chance to have a trial before the wedding, but in the end I was trilled with my hair and makeup. She was super nice and really easy to get a long with (we texted each other a lot leading up to the big day!). And she gave me the most amazing skin care tips (one tip - mix a little bit of baking soda with your normal face wash = AMAZING!!!).

Love the step sisters!!! I have stood outside of that place just to watch them!

Hi Faith! You have so much going on, how exciting. I must agree that old Princey is really not all that charming...hhmmm. But the evil step-sisters and queen are hilarious. Those pictures are classic! Love them!

Sorry about your hair trial, I know that is a disappointment. But at least you got your money back without a problem and you know not to use them, and you helped other brides (thank you!). I am going to try and set up an appointment for the day after our planning session since that's the only time I will be able to get to Orlando (I am in Georgia). I hope it goes well because chances are I won't be going back until the wedding.
