fairykin/Dawn "An angel in Heaven"

I agree with power of prayer and we need to all keep praying.

Thank you Cheryl for the update. It is so good to have even a little bit of positive news.

Glad to hear that she's had a good night - even a stable night is good news :goodvibes

There's a lot of resistance towards the H1N1 vaccine here in the UK for some reason, but reading this makes me realise just how risky not having the vaccine could be...

Really hope she has another good night :flower3:

I will continue my praying. I have a little knowledge about the ventilator, in 2007 when I was so sick in my stupor from illness I took the ventilator out. I ended up with a tracheotomy, I have the scar on my neck as a reminder. I am keeping her nad her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Yes, I also (unfortunately) have some knowledge about ventilators and oxygen. DS (who is 4) had a trach and vent for 18 months and was on oxygen for the first 2 years of his life. In fact, we still hook him up to a pulse-ox every night (that's the machine that tells you what your blood oxygen saturation is - the percentages her DH mentions in the e-mail). Ventilators are not fun but i'm so thankful they exist.

I'm so happy to hear there has been a little progress towards recovery. I've been thinking about Dawn and her family a lot and will continue to pray. And thanks to the people passing the updates along to us.

Count me in as another Disneylover sending up prayers. :grouphug:

My thoughts and prayers are with Dawn and her family.

I came home sick from my trip as well, and when I was well enough to come back on the boards I was wondering where she was - I got to know her through the October trip thread. To read this was a major shock.

Thanks for keeping us updated, tinkermell.

Hi everyone--Dawn had a very bad night last night. Her fever is back and erratic. They have been trying to take her off some machines/medicines so they can do a CT scan and have had to put that on hold for now.

Continue the good thoughts and prayers please.

I am so sorry to hear that she had a bad night again. A day of stability gave us all so much hope and joy.

I wish there was more all of us could do for her.....if having so many people care for her so much can help, we are here for our Dawn.

Thanks for keeping us all updated Cheryl and Mel!
