Hi :wave2: Welcome to my pre-trip report! I have decided to stop driving all of my friends and family crazy with all of my Disney trip talk, and come talk about Disney with like minded people!

Your Cast:

Jess aka Me aka Your Tour Guide

I love pretty much all things Disney! My obsession started when my mom brought home this little thing called a VCR because not only did she bring home bring home this fantastic device, she also brought home Robin Hood for me. Needless to say I was entranced. From the moment I watched Robin Hood, being my first Disney movie I was hooked. I love crafts, photography, anything with a bird on it, fashion, Notre Dame football and spoiling my fur baby!

Some of my Disney Favorites are:

Park: Magic Kingdom
Rides: Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, & Pirate's
Princess: Aurora, Ariel, Belle, & Rapunzel
Movies: Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast & The Lion King
Character: Stitch, Donald & Daisy
Restaurant: Le Cellier, Yachtsman & 'Ohana
Snack: Tie-Dye Cheesecake

Rob aka DH

DH is pretty great if I do say so myself! ;)
He not only tolerates my Disney obsession but loves the parks almost as much as I do. He is a huge Notre Dame football fan (I am sure if there was some sort of award for the biggest fan he would win. He has converted my entire family :rolleyes1), he also loves to play paintball, he is fun loving, the funniest person that I know and for the most part a big kid.

Park: EPCOT & Hollywood Studios
Rides: Rockin' Roller Coaster, Soarin' & Expedition Everest
Princess: Belle
Movies: The Lion King & The Fox & Hound
Character: Donald Duck
Restaurant: Le Cellier
Snack: Tie-Dye Cheesecake

Here are some pics of us together:

Hermie aka the Fur Baby

She is not traveling with us to the Yacht Club to her dismay as I am sure she would enjoy the trip and the chance to catch a few extra large mice, but I am sure she will be mentioned here a few times. She enjoys tuna and running around my house with the zest and grace of a baby elephant.

The Why:
On our first trip to Disney World DH and I always said that for our 10th wedding anniversary that we would come to Disney World and stay deluxe as we normally would not splurge for it. To my happy surprise, I ran across an agency exclusive (thanks to the Resort Discounts Board) that is allowing us to stay Club Level! I am over the moon as is DH, he keeps saying that he is going to take soda and beer home with him. I have a feeling I will be ducking my head and pretending I don't know him a good portion of our time in the loung :rotfl2:

The When & Where:

Our adventure starts on 8/16 with 2 nights off property in Orlando (the hotel is TBD.) Then we check into the Yacht Club Regatta Club on 8/18 - 8/25.

If anyone has any first time Club Level tips I would love to hear them!

Hi there Jess! I'm glad to see you going to YC at the same time that we will be there in August! What a great way to celebrate your 10th anniversary.

My only advice for CL is to not be shy about asking for something if you don't see what you want set out as far as beverages go. They may also have some other snack foods that are not set out. We brought breakfast back to our room every morning since the lounge is small and tends to get crowded. If they had some tables and chairs set up on the balcony that would be great for extra space. ;) (Perhaps not in the middle of summer. )

Since the lounge is open 24 hrs (except for about a 1/2 hour before changing over the breakfast/snack services) so feel free to indulge in something at midnight if you wish!

My DH is a huge Notre Dame fan as well... likely not as big a fan as your DH since my husband only has 2 hats and 1 T shirt! :lmao:

I'm looking forward to anticipating the trip along with you! :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to reading more about your plans. I would love to stay at the Yacht Club someday, but I just can't justify the cost right now. Maybe one day we'll reach a point where we've been enough that the parks become less important and we don't need to spend as much time there. For now our resort is basically just a place to sleep so I can't imagine splurging for a deluxe at this point.

Hi Jess! We are going to be at YC CL at the same time. We will be there August 17-25. We have stayed at BCV and loved the pool. We have stayed at AKL CL a few years ago, and the experience was amazing. Hoping that we will be just as happy at YC.

I on board! Can'''t wait to read about your plans. I would really like to stay cl at a deluxe resort.
