Fairfx Problems

I have been trying to put through the deposit for my wedding on my Fairfx card and it keeps getting declined :headache:

Disney are saying its declined....Fairfx are saying there are no authorizations reaching them at their end so they have not declined anything?

Anyone have any history, I have been using it the last couple of days and it worked fine?:confused:
 
We had problems paying off our cruise balance in one go (about $8,000). It's odd that Fairfx say nothing is reaching them though. Could Disney maybe try a couple of smaller requests to see if they go through?

Did Fairfx know this transaction was not going through? I don't think Disney will as I had to fax the paper work off to them, which states 1 $1000 transaction. The only thing I can think it is is they did not ask for the security code on the rear of the card?

Their call centre is closed now so going to talk to someone else tomorrow - or I will just put it on my credit card (which always gets declined first time round for US purchases argh!)
 
Doubt this will help any but I used my FairFX card to pay $986 to Universal by fax and had no problems.

Maybe it's just an intermittent fault at the moment?

No doubt at some point someone will find a way to blame the volcano for this too ... :rolleyes:

Did they not ask for the 3 digit code? I thought you had to use it. I have used mine online and have had to give it.

I don't think the US is all that bothered about the Card Security Code :confused3 I could be wrong though! Universal didn't ask for mine but then I did have to send them a copy of the front and back of the card so they would have had it regardless.

I'm sure Disney US didn't ask for my CSC either but I didn't use FairFX for that.

I don't think FairFx did know, but Dreams Unlimited were able to get $3,000 and $2,000 payments through on the same day so I don't think it's the same problem as you are having. :guilty: I think it probably is that they don't have the security code. I don't want to be insulting but have you double checked that you have given them the right card number - I had a problem once because I had misread one of the digits on the front of the card.
 
i had no problems with ours, if fairfx cant see the payment then disney must be doing something wrong and ours was faxed to them, infact i used to different cards and no problems with any of them

Likewise, the person on the other end of the phone could have transposed a couple of digits. Occasionally I have had problems with people hearing "2" and "3" correctly over the phone.

I have emailed them and explained - fingers crossed it gets through this time!:thumbsup2
 
Oh of course - month day year!! I still have problems with that occasionally - and I have been back here for almost 10 years! Glad you got it sorted!

Another plus: at least you know your card works now, instead of worrying that you won't be able to access the funds when you get there. :)
