I applied for a FairFX card for my Mum online as she is no good with computers! Trouble is, I stupidly put my surname instead of hers, and we didn't notice until the card landed on her doormat.
I e-mailed FairFX who said they could send out a card with a new name on but it would cost $12. Can anyone tell me if it really matters if the name is wrong? Do you sign for the card when you use it in the US or just use a PIN? Do they ever ask for ID? DM has loaded $40 onto it, but does not want to load any more until she knows it is safe to use.
She has not phoned to validate the card yet, but we have had it for about a week.
Can anyone offer any advice?
