After many hours of online research, I've narrowed our lodging choices down to the Anaheim Fairfield or the Del Sol. I'd like to hear from those of you who've stayed at either place. We're looking for close walking distance to the park entrance, cleanliness, and decent pool. Any recommendations/suggestions??? THANKS in advance!

I have been to the Fairfield and loved it. Clean, bright, airy rooms. Nice pool. Walking distance about 5-10 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) to entrance. Millie's restaurant and Mc.D's right out front and Pizza Hut in the hotel. Staff was great and helpful. If we weren't staying at DLH we would definitely be there.

I've stayed at the Fairfield and the experience was GREAT! We're doing a 2nd stay at the Fairfield in 6 weeks! :thumbsup2 As charmama4 points out, the rooms were clean and the pool was pretty nice. I like how the sink is separate from the bathroom - that's very handy!

I loved how convient Mimi's Cafe, Millies and McD's were in relation to the hotel - they're "right out front" the hotel. Okay, I especially love that McD's is in the same parking lot! Sometimes I just crave a fountain soda and it's nice to walk over and get one. And the Pizza Hut plus a small convenience store in the hotel was nice.

The walking distance to DL was really small and I also agree that it takes between 5-10 minutes, depending on how fast I hoofed it. Parking is decent.

I last stayed at the Fairfield near uh... 10 years ago. :scared1:

But we did enjoy our stay there, though I can't really attest to more recent accommodations. :lmao:

From what I hear, Del Sol is more of an economy hotel, so it will cost less, but not so much in the way of luxurious accommodations.

del sol was ok it is old but the rooms were decent only stayed there once.

I have been staying at hojo or desert inn and suites the hojo is very nice with the entertainment rate it is a no brainer. The desert inn and suites is good and close and for 69 bucks a night to lay my head I will book it.

Another vote for Fairfield. This is DH's fav. Close to crosswalk, comfy beds and good customer service.

You will read reviews that parking is tight...we didn't find that the case at all.

Plus, it is close to Mimi's.

We haven't stayed at the Del Sol, but have read some not so great reviews.

Haven't stayed at the Del Sol, so can't comment on it, but I can comment on the FFI. If you look at my siggie you will see that we have stayed there several times and will return there on our next trip. It has three elevators to get you up to your rooms, a nice pool, restaurants are close, rooms are clean, laundry facilities, convience store and friendly customer service. It's a nice place to call home while you are at the parks.

Sounds like the general consensus is the Fairfield...thanks for all the suggestions. It makes me feel much better in booking it, knowing that all of you had a positive experience there. Fairfield, here we come!
