Fairfield Star Island Resort

Hi, just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Fairfield Star Island Resort, and if so, how long did it take to get to Magic Kingdom, Epcot. We will be renting a car for ouu November trip. The confirmation I have says it is 5 miles, but I dont have a clue!
Any info would be great, thanks.

Takes maybe 15 minutes if I-drive is moving...we've stayed here twice and just a great location. Easy in/out and you just float onto the property, just follow the signs. Coming back can be a little tricky, so pay close attention. The first day we left the resort an hour before park opening and we ended up waiting for park to open...we then adjusted and left @ 45 min. before park opening, thereafter, and worked out great. I still prefer to stay on-site, (extended hours, disney transport, Disney hotel gift shops, package delivery to room, etc.) but it was a nice change. There is a TGIFriday's at the main pool area and of course, I-drive has everything. We stopped by Chick-Fil-A several mornings and unfortunately, Krispy Kreme as well...

Thanks so much, I am so excited I can hardly wait. I made out great on the deal, my boss owns a resort with Timeshare so I was able to get a 3 bedroom for 2 weeks for only $316.
