Fairfield Onsite Sales Center at Bonnet Creek Resort

boy give fairfield some time and they will make changes - not planning very well for Easter or spring break time in generally.

and those last 2 weeks in Ausgust - when most of the kids are back in school.

Not to mention Christmas.

WDW busiest and I mean busiest time of the year is Christmas to NY - not the week before Christmas.....

Oh yea I can see the schedule changing big time!!!

Anyone who could care to do a sanity check on my calendar is more than welcome. :)

Given that Easter floats based on the old Jewish Lunar Calendar, this year's April 10 - 16 is more of an anomoly I would think.

I don't see where they'd need to change the end of August...It's already a high week for them unless you mean the end of week 35 being in September.

As to Christmas week...DVC does look better leading up to Christmas, but on the whole I think FF's going to come out better financially. Sometimes week 51 will include Christmas...sometimes not.

Can FF juggle the 'seasons'? Given they're still operating on a weekly basis, won't the fact that some FF owners who own 'weeks' instead of points keep the weekly seasons as they've been designated?

Lets not forget...DVC arranges it's calendar based on WDW visiting patterns...FF has a much wider scope and needs to consider when people normally vacation to everywhere...not just to WDW.

Maybe if I'm really sick of work I'll map out 2005 to see how normal annual changes effect things.

Spiceycat, I was pretty surprised to see the later spring break weeks (& Thanksgiving week) in value season at this resort. When I asked about this, it was suggested to me that they used reservation demand patterns from their other Orlando and FL resorts in making this chart. FF seems to have a somewhat older typical owner family than DVC, with a large owner base in the eastern U.S. Empty nesters and snowbirds would use the resorts differently than younger families. Guess we'll see if this will be the first resort to adjust its points charts.

Jmminarik, interesting tables. Thanks for sharing them! This is a strange year, in that week 51 usually includes Christmas day. In answer to your question, FF could alter the chart and its seasons, especially at a newer, all-points resort (no fixed week owners) like Bonnet Creek. Every resort has its own points chart. The weeks included in each season vary by resort.

Exciting news, Fairfield's online booking is up and running! I just tried it out, a few glitches and browser problems, but overall seems pretty good for just coming out. It is a really nice feature, and maybe DVC will feel a little pressure to get their online booking going.
