Fairfield Inn

I want to hear about the pool. When we do WDW, part of the whole vacation experience is relaxing at the pool for a break. I really wanted to stay at the DLH, but it was just so much more than the Fairfield Inn that I just couldn't do it. So, if anyone has pictures, or any thought s to share about the pool, I'd love to hear it. I've only seen a few pictures from Tripadvisor. I realize it's not themed like the DLH, but all I really need are clean and lots of chairs and towels.

A small clean non-descript pool. If you're looking for a WDW vacation pool experience, the Fairfield won't measure up. Better to stay on site or at HOJO if a fancy pool is important.

Like most here have commented....imo, the Fairfield delivers a good location, good amenities, good quality and a good value. It's a great place to rest & relax after a day at the parks....but it shouldn't be compared with a "whole vacation experience" at WDW. It's a nice off property moderate motel...with a few bennies that makes it a good choice for most. :thumbsup2

We were just there a week ago today..love the place..This is the first time we stayed on a higher floor..I didn't know they have a big Mickey Mouse head on one of the lower roofs..It was a nice touch...

Just left there this morning, this is our 4th time staying there. I like several things about this Fairfield. The location is great, basically it's about a 12-15 minute walk into the park which is no problem, they have a McDonald's 200 feet away if you need that, they have a Mimi's Cafe 5 minutes (walking) away. The price is great, parking was somewhat of an issue this time..just very crowded. I had to drive around 2 times or so before finding a spot. Beds are fine, I would reccomend one of the lower floors, we typically stay on the ground floor. Pool is fine, nothing to special but not bad either. Hope this helps, have fun!

We stayed last September (1/2 marathon weekend) and parking was an issue at night. The night we arrived, we circled for 20 mins. The second night we waited 45 mins for parking. Maybe it was an especially bad night, but I would reconsider if you plan a lot of in-and-out parking.

Otherwise, it's an excellent hotel!

Shouldn't there be one parking spot for each room? Are people showing up with more than one car per room or are non-hotel guests using the parking lot illegally?

Basically what I am reading, is once I get there and find a spot, don't move my car until we check out.

Just curious if there is any public parking nearby? We are doing an all day LA tour on the day we are checking out and will need to find an alternate place to park.

they give you a parking permit to put in your car to prevent too many cars however it didn't appear to me they were towing those that did not have it. again, it was extremely busy and I still didn't really have problems. but i only moved my car maybe once a day? no other parking lots nearby that i could see. good luck.

On our first FFI stay (Mid-December 2008), we used the car several times and didn't have a problem parking. Almost all the spots we could see were filled but we still found a spot to park in. Each time we drove was in the middle of the day, which might have been to our parking advantage.

On our second FFI stay (last week) we parked and let the car sit. What a waste of money if you ask me, but my husband insisted on having a rental car. ;) Anyhow, we didn't have a problem finding a spot then. Most spots visible from the front of the hotel were filled on this visit too.

Both trips weren't considered peak season so I can only imagine what parking would be like when the park packs 'em in!
