Hi all! My family and I has the FF Inn booked for a trip in October. We've never stayed there before. I've read the reviews on TripAdvisor, but I was wondering what are the options of the Disser's? I'd love to hear about recent experiences anyone has had. I was also curious as to see a photo of the hotel from across the street. I've seen photos of the hotel from the street, and looking towards the street. But I'm trying to get a grasp of where, exactly, the hotel sits... so I figured a view from ACROSS the street would help! :goodvibes

The FF Inn was great we stayed here in April 08 best night sleep I have ever had the beds are incredible!!! Sorry no pics but if you have been to DL before the FF sits directly behind the McDonalds on Harbor across the street from DL. Hope this helps some!! :)
Enjoy your trip!!!

I will be there in early August(3 night stay) and will be happy to share my thoughts after returning home. The Fairfield cost more than some of the other motels/hotels on Harbor and doesn't offer free breakfast(no big deal as there is a McDonalds a stones throw away), but there was a certain comfort level I had booking a place that is part of the Marriott chain.

Most important...a clean room with comfortable beds. Everything else hotel related is secondary.

Sorry, no pics from Across the street, however, we stayed there last fall. It was perfectly fine, it was nothing exceptional, but we had no complaints. The room was an average room, plenty of room for our family of four. Beds were comfortable. We had a room that overlooked the parks. We stayed there on marriott points, thinking it would not have been our first choice. However after staying there, we would stay again, even if we had to pay for it. It was convenient walking distance to the parks. We had to walk down probably the equivalant of a block to cross the street at which point you are entering the dlr property.

I know others will pop in with a recommendation for the HOJO, which seems to be a favorite on the boards. You can get cheap entertainment rates during certain times, still walking distance, just about a block maybe further than the Fairfield. Enjoy your trip!

THe FF has amazing reviews and we are staying there in August. Go to trip adviser , the ratings are super and for the price and free internet and nice pool, you can not beat it. they also serve ice cold flavored water in the lobby. The beds are incredible I hear and the rooms are very nice and clean. there is some awesome restaurants on either side of this motel and there is a pizza hut in side the motel and a coffee shop. I would say you made a wonderful choice :)

This will be our 5th stay at the FF Inn. We find it average, not fancy but clean, we feel safe, the staff is pretty nice and it's just a short walk from the park. It's near Mimi's (good food) AND, If you walk to the north(?) and over the overpass you will find cheap beer too!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm ont 100% sure of the view you want (looking at the hotel from across the street? looking at across the street from the hotel? my brain just isn't working in the same way tonight), but I'll throw what I have out there and you can ignore whatever you wish.

Possibly not all that helpful, but it's from the other side of the street, looking over at the hotel area:

Walking to the parks (from HoJo)...the sign and placement of McDs.

View from the sidewalk, looking over towards the park side, just a bit down from the hotel:

We were just there a week ago today..love the place..This is the first time we stayed on a higher floor..I didn't know they have a big Mickey Mouse head on one of the lower roofs..It was a nice touch...

I want to hear about the pool. When we do WDW, part of the whole vacation experience is relaxing at the pool for a break. I really wanted to stay at the DLH, but it was just so much more than the Fairfield Inn that I just couldn't do it. So, if anyone has pictures, or any thought s to share about the pool, I'd love to hear it. I've only seen a few pictures from Tripadvisor. I realize it's not themed like the DLH, but all I really need are clean and lots of chairs and towels.

Nice pool area..lots of towels..lots of chairs..a nice little Jacuzzi...and..a bonus..in the summer..you can see some of the fireworks from the pool..if you don't want to be in the park..

We were there last weekend.. we had a disney facing room on the 7th floor. It was comfortable and clean and the elevators were quick. We had breakfast at Disney one day, at Mimi's one day and McDonalds the other. The walk was easy... the only thing hard was finding parking one afternoon.

It helps to Google the hotel's address and do a street view of the hotel:

1460 South Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92802

We just came back a few hours ago and had a great stay at the Fairfield (2nd stay). It's very clean and convenient to two restaurants off-campus (Millies and Mimis), a Pizza Hut express in the hotel and a McDonalds adjacent to the parking lot. Friday night we stood outside our room on the 6th floor and saw the lights dancing on Mickeys Fun Wheel. :)

Since we stayed in December, they updated the shower surround so the tub was shiny and bright. The a/c units are wall-mounted to the outside, but pretty new and quiet for wall units.

Can't comment on the pool because we never used it but from what we observed, it and the hot tub were a bit smallish for the size of the hotel but we walked by them every day and they always looked well maintained and clean.

Overall you can't go wrong with the Fairfield. Very recommendable!

OMG, was it a huge problem? My Dh often takes off and runs around LA returning late at night or in the afternoon. I don't want to stay at a hotel in which the parking is going to be a nightmare. Has anyone else had issues with the parking? :scared: What do they tell you to do with your car if you can't find parking?:scared1:

Be sure and check out their Best Rate Guarantee. I got a GREAT rate since another website (hotels.com) was listing the room cheaper than marriott.com.

The Jacuzzi was a bit small..but..I never had a problem with it being too crowded..because so many are at the parks..I did love putting my feet in it after a day of walking at Disney..and..my daughter loved watching the fireworks while swimming...

Thank you to everyone who have posted pictures and comments about your experiences at FF Inn. This is the first time my family will be staying there (we normally stay at Res. Inn on Clementine)... but we got a pretty good rate, $99/night, so I figured it was definitely worth a shot :thumbsup2
