I just looked this hotel up and it looks nice. So if we did a package with this does it include free parking at universal? We would have a car, and not sure if we would like the shuttle or not? If they don't offer free parking, what is the shuttle like. Do they go back and forth often? We are paly it by ear kind of people and sometimes like to sleep in and go to a park when we feel like we are ready, or come back and a spur of the moments notice (we are used to Disney btw)
Also what does the continetal breakfast include? I assume it's not super fancy, but will it fill you up pretty good?
Years ago my mom and I took my 2 older kids to Disney and stayed offsite (at a htoel I don't remember anymore as it's beeen over 10 years) and they had a really decent breakfast each morning. It was nice, and kept us full, and we usually shared some counter service each afternoon and then went to an off site resturant for supper each night and it really kept our costs down.
the last 3 years we've done Disney with the dining plan, and we ate like kings, but honestly we were too full.
If we go anywhere this year, DH wants to do something different and cheaper, and this price looks a little too good to be true compared to what we payed for Disney.

I stayed at this hotel and had good breakfast. The breakfast consist of milk, cereal, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, make own waffles, pastry , boil eggs, and coffee. I know it fill me up.

I can't comment on the shuttle. Did not use it. I know really close to US. It has plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

There is no free parking included in any package you buy but if you had a preferred aunual pass it include parking and fairfield I have no idea about cause the only other hotel I have stayed at other than RPR was The Doubletree on Major Blvd.

Thanks for al lthe info. So far DH has said NO, so I guess we won't be going like I had hoped. Maybe this fall or winter we can go. I am still going to accumulate knowledge though, just in case he changes his mind last minute...which HAS happened in the past.
