Hi! I am new to this board and am finding it sooo helpful - thanks!!! I am a WDW "veteran", but now live in So. Cal. and am taking my 3 year old for her first Disney trip!!! :yay:

My quick question...how bad is the parking situation at the Fairfield Inn on Harbor? I have reservation for the end of March and we will be driving up from San Diego. I have read some horrid reviews :scared1: on the lack of parking, etc. and am getting concerned about that --- would it be best to arrive early afternoon? Will they let me park prior to check-in time (which is 4:00)? Any and all advice/comments are welcome!!

Thanks!

We stayed at the Fairfield last August and never had a problem with finding a parking spot. Of course, we walked back and forth to the park everyday. But, we did leave the property ocassionally to go shopping and never had an issue finding a place to park.

We were there the weekend of the marathon and the night before the marathon it was nuts...people were parked everywhere. But, I think that was an exceptional circumstance.

Just a note...when we checked out we were told that our car needed to be moved off property by 12:00 noon or else we could be towed. Well, our flight wasn't until 6:30 p.m., so we stayed until 4:00. Our car was still there.

Parking was not an issue at all for us.

SeattleTink - Thank you so much for your comments. You have helped to put my mind at ease! I was reading some travel sites and MANY people complained about parking...maybe they were there at a busy time of year? :confused3

We're staying Monday through Wednesday and will be leaving around noon to head back. I just want to park Monday and the car won't be leaving the lot until we return home on Wednesday. Hopefully we won't have an issue.

Did you check in early by any chance?

You are welcome. I read all those sites too...it made me kind of worried as well.

We did check in early, but I paid attention to the parking (because of all the negative reviews) and there always looked like there was space (except for marathon day!)

We loved the Fairfield! Their beds are soooo comfy! I think you will like it.

BTW - you can see the fireworks from the hot tub, which was way cool. :goodvibes

Thanks again SeattleTink! We'll have to be sure to check out the hot tub if there are any fireworks while we're there - great tip!

Thanks TerryKitten! Hopefully parking will be smooth!
