Just wondered if anyone had stayed here before and would recommend it.

We have a good price for a 3 night stay inc free breakfast.

Is it in a good location? Nice rooms, etc?

Also, is the free breakfast a ploy to get you looking at timeshares, etc?

Cheers

Claire

PS- does £34 a night seem reasonable?

We stayed here at christmas and the location is very good for DD, Premium outlets with Golden Coral and Bahama Breeze on the adjacent car park. The road outside can get a bit busy around rush hour but is fairly quiet otherwise. The rooms are nice. Breakfast is not a timeshare ploy with cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, juices, hot drinks, donuts and muffins.

Fairfield Inn is in a good location not too far from Downtown Disney. We've stayed there a couple of times. Breakfast isn't a ploy to sell timeshare and you can go down any time between certain hours. We honestly didn't spend much time around the hotel but it was great for what we used it for. We would go back again if we stay offsite. The rooms are nice as well. There's a good supermarket just round the corner at Crossroads and a good place to eat just next door called Golden Corral where they have all you can eat buffets at very reasonable prices.

I know, I even would get a further 8% off as I have booked 2 nights with them in September, but just want to know all is well with them before I spend big money!!

The 8% off is a loyalty bonus!

I just checked in about 4 hours ago. Overlooking the pool was little noisy until it closed at 11pm. Room is very clean, could do with a few more drawers but thas only downside. Not tried Breakfast yet, dont usually eat it but might try one morning as it starts at 6am. Internet connection is slower than we normally have, but maybe it will get better, its usable. Very friendly girl at check in. Pool looks nice from up here. Ask if you want anything checking out.
We booked thru hotelopia, got 3.5% cashback thru rpoints.com and googled a 10% dicount code, brought it down to £36 for Easter is very cheap.

Wayneg, Glad you like the Fairfield Inn. Give us a full run down of facilities etc. when you get home.
Have a great time

Tried the breakfast this morning, and thought it was good, not as good as the Homewood suites but good enough to stop me going out and paying for a breakfast. Cereals,, toast, Bagels, Muffins, Waffels, fruit, drinks, efficient staff kept everything topped up and clean.
Beds are comfortable but soft, we prefer harder beds, pillows good, fridge in room is a little small but gets cold enough to form ice in the coke, Little coffee maker in room or coffee available in reception area.
no inroom safe which suprised me, long time since we had a room with no safe, infact can't remember one.
Please let me know if you need to know anything else.

I'm gald your on-line whilst you're away. I was thinking of staying at an old haunt of yours, the lakeside on the 192.

Would you say there was much difference between the two hotels, bearing in mind that where you are now, is a bit more expensive with virgin than the lakeside. I know you get free breakfast where you are currently staying. ( I am booking with VH rather than DIY, as wanting to use Tesco points). I know I can get it far cheaper doing DIY.

I would have thought the location of the lakeside was better for getting to Disney and the waterparks, with all the traffic around where you are. We have stayed before on the 535.
Have a gret time and say hello to Mickey for me.

Hi
I would say Fairfield is a newer hotel, slightly cleaner with it been more modern, Inroom wireless in every room here only in a few at lakeside, yes the road gets busy outside but get in left lane then turn left onto 535 thru lights do a u-turn and back towards crossroads and Downtown Disney it is quicker than waiting for the right lane. I think Lakeside is a little easier to get to the Disney parks if you use Sherberth rd and cut out the 192, but we go to Downtown Disney, Uni, Islands, SeaWorld,+others a lot so all them are nearer to here at Fairfield.
Still prefer Courtyard by Marriott LBV on Palm Parkway to these 2 but dont think Virgin do it.

Hi Wayne

We are staying here for a couple of nights. Thanks for the report so far.

Would it be possible to take any photos of the rooms etc and post them here for us?
Thanks

Many thanks for that...:)

We are there for 3 nights before going on our cruise.

We have stopped at the Springhill Suites right across from there (in 2002) the rooms were larger accomodating a desk fax and internet ports mini-kitchen sink & cupboards fridge and microwave, sofa-bed and a chair with coffe table and 2 tvs the bathroom was very roomy too.The rooms in the Fairfield should be fine for most families. Access to the safe deposit boxes require 2 keys one from the guest (allocated on arrival)and the other from the front desk each time we used it we signed a slip to say we'd accessed it and a manager witnessed us put thing in /take things out, very reassuring and very professional staff.
We had breakfast everyday and it was fine the hot food at the Fairfield inn was yummy, rooms very clean, security was fantastic the pools are accessible by room key only--via a gated security system. The staff at the attractions desk were friendly but not pushy and they are a "Disney good neighbour" hotel group.
The on-site shops were fine everything was freshly cooked, even the bus drivers were lovely chatting to the passengers about Disney history and stuff like that and they loved to talk to the kids asking which characters they wanted to see etc.
