Is there a way that I can accept a friend request but not let her read my posts or see my pictures without her realizing it? I know, bad me!

Yes, whenever you post there should be a little lock symbol. Click on it, go to customize, hide this from and you can list whoever you don't want to see it just by typing in their name.

Yes. If you go to privacy settings -> customize settings -> posts by me you can add people who you want to hide these posts from. You can hide photos you're tagged in the same way.

I think to hide your photo albums, you have to go to each album, go to edit, and add who you want to hide them from.

This is good to know. I have a friend who has a business and is always posting her info to get new customers. I didnt realize it would be so much when i added her. My dh's cousin is also into a thing where she's always trying to find people for her husbands organization. I dont partipate or recommend it and i dont want his cousin going on my list and networking. I'd like to get those two people seperate.

anyways the friend with a business I clicked on the x on one of her post and her post nolonger show up but she is on my friends list still. Can a person tell when their post have been blocked? How do i unblock it???

.
sorry for asking this on someone elses post

oh and why would a person tag a photo they are not in? This same friend tagged my dd photo. She doesnt know dd that well to do that. Last time we talked was a few years ago. I sent her recently a message on facebook and she sent me a friend request. I sent her a 2nd message and she didnt respond to both message so i guess she's just networking hoping to gain business. She will be unfriended once i unblock her

A person can't tell when they've been blocked. There is an application that some people have that tells them when they've been blocked/unfriended, but not many people have it so I wouldn't worry about that.

To unblock someone, go to your news feed, scroll all the way down (it may keep loading posts, but keep scrolling. It will stop eventually), and click edit options (to the right of "load more posts"). It will show you all the people who you have hidden from your news feed, and if you click the x by their name it will unhide them.

Thank you. I can see my friends i blocked and the jersey shore page-lol!

I actually did that to quite a few "friends". They are people I work with, or are in the same industry, that just don't need to see that much of my life. So, I created a list from the beginning called "Professional". When someone friends me that I don't want to see all of my things, I simply put them in that group when I accept their friend request. Then, when I post, I use that box if I don't want the Professional list to see.

I also set it so they can't see tagged photos of me or most pics of my family. I don't want to be rude and not accept their friend request, but I would some sort of privacy and to keep my professional and private lives from mixing. If I meet someone that wants to keep in touch, I usually say "Oh, I'm on Linkd In, friend me there" and try to get them to go that route.

Hope that helps!

I play Farmville and I didn't want my Farmville only friends seeing my photos. So I tagged my friends list with farmville, non-farmville and both. Then I tagged my photo albums to hide from farmville.

Oh wow! I've been on Facebook for years and have never noticed that little lock for individual posts. Thank you :thumbsup2. That is most excellent to know.

Looking at Facebook on my iPhone, too. Looks like that lock feature option comes up for a status update, but not for photos .

Thanks everyone! You guys have been a lot of help. I just don't want to turn down her friend request but was hoping I could "sensor" some of what she can read.

Happy Easter!
