Facebook question -- comments on your wall

What do you do if a friend posts a comment on your wall you think is inappropriate? It bothers me that it could then be on my other friends' pages as well. Do I have to ask them to delete it or is there a way I can delete it?

Because I don't see a way to delete comments on the Wall, and asking them to delete it could take awhile (this is a hypothetical situation sparked by a comment on a photo I had to delete) in which everyone could see it.

It would be great if everyone had the same standards of appropriateness & the same senses of humor but some people just do not have a filter.

I am new to Facebook (obviously) and not sure I am totally sold on this!

If you mouse over the comment, you should be able to delete it. I had to do that once for a random acquaintance from high school after I posted one of those "tell me your first memory of me," things. His comment was that he really didn't remember me at all but had recognized my pic from high school. Um, do you really need to comment on how unmemorable you find me? What a fool.

Never mind. I just messed with my settings and I have no idea what I changed but now there is a "delete" feature on each comment. Sorry for the dumb question.

I just am not sure I like this as much as I thought I would.

Thanks, I found it, when you mouse over it says "remove." That is good to know! Thanks. In my case it is my sister with foot-in-mouth. She means well but she has an aggressive sense of humor and no filter, though her feelings are hurt very easily. I did not want the person she commented on, jokingly, to see it because that is not how they would take it. Thanks for your help.
