Facebook people who don't reply.

What the heck is the point of joining Facebook, accepting friends from your past if you aren't even going to at least reply to a "hey, nice to see you again, this is what I'm up to, what about you?" message?

I don't know. I'm always good about responding to messages, but some of those other "gifts" and "requests", on the other hand... Love the Disney ones, though! I wish they were all that cute.

I'm sorry; that was all completely unrelated. I'm eating REALLY hot Chinese for dinner and I think it cooked part of my brain.

I joined Facebook to keep up on the news of my 20th high school reunion, but don't spend much time there. I do accept most friend requests from people I know, but I might not drop them a line because I just don't use it much.

I try to give them the benefit of the doubt... maybe they aren't on the site as often as I am. However, when I see then chatting on the wall but I'm still ignored, I give up.

I put in my Info, photos and stuff enough for my old friends to get a good idea of how my life has gone. And I love looking at all they have written and their pics. I have been able to catch up with a ton of old friends and the word is spreading so more and more classmates are joining each day. Some haven't really responded but I assume that they just aren't on as much or don't have much to say. And some may not really want to have their information posted on your wall for others to see.

Uhm because you are supposed to stalk their wall, pictures, and wall to wall with other people. No one just plan asks. Duh!

My husband join to keep in touch with a few friends, however, a ton of friends from HS keep asking to be his friend. Some of them he doesn't remember who they are. Anyway, he doesn't respond to everyone because he has two full time jobs and needs to balance life.

I agree. I respond to friends wall posts and emails, etc, but I ignore most of the other requests I receive (join this group, join this cause, keep the chain going, etc) Those are annoying, because they all want access to your friends list and then try to get them to join.

I think some people just collect friends to run their numbers up. I get friend requests all the time from people I vaguely remember from high school. I wasn't friends with them then, why would I want to be friends now? I just ignore them.

I do FB and myspace responses on the weekend. I have a very long daily commute during the week. I'm exhausted when I get home and rarely get on FB or myspace during the week. I have to THINK to respond to most of my friends on FB and myspace, and that requires rest for a coherent response.

One friend just tagged me with the dreaded 25 things about me. Yikes! Oh yes! I have 1 thing - I DIS! 1 down. 24 to go.

The DIS is my relaxation during stressful weeks! Thanks to all for that! It's one of my happy places!

So, if you send me a message or post on my wall or whatever on FB or myspace, please be patient and check back with me on Sunday night.

That's what I do also. And if I accept you as a friend, and you have no interaction with me whatsoever, eventually, you get dumped.
