Facebook: Original main page format?

Is there a way to go back to the original main page format? I liked it much better than the newer version where all the personal info is just squished together.

Is there a preference section where you can choose the original format?

Nope. You're stuck with the "new and improved" profile.

I like the new main page better than the old one, but I would rather be able to design my own page. Of course, I wouldn't include any of the advertisements or any of the other things that help foster Facebook's growth and make Facebook more profitable. In other words, I would prefer if they just bent themselves to my will and did everything my way, strictly for my benefit.

One thing I found useful is a browser add-in called "Better Facebook". It helps give me more control over what I see and how I see it.

I really don't care about the ads-they don't bother me. What I don't like is my info squished up at the top. I liked the old layout when my info was more spread out and easy to read.

I'll try the "Better Facebook" app
