Thanks for even reading this!

No, I understand how "friend" people. What I'm trying to do is invite some of those existing friends to a specific event - ideally in one 'group' mail, or sendout, or invite, or whatever you call it.

Can anyone walk me through it, step by step, please? I'm logged in and, I guess, on my - wall? - main page? whatever page shows me what my friends have posted recently.

If I can't do that, how do I send the invitation out individually? In either case, I don't want to just post it anywhere - because most of my friends aren't even anywhere in the area. They're spread out all over the country.

ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Okay here goes, when you first log in, you're on your News Feed.

On the left side of your screen, there are options (news feed, messages, events, photos, friends, etc). Click EVENTS.

When the events screen loads, there is a button on the top right that says CREATE AN EVENT. Click that.

From there you can select the time of the event, create a title ("what are you planning?" section), name the location and give more information. There is a "select guests" button so you can select whatever friends you want to send the invitation to.

There are two options below that:
"Anyone can view and RSVP (public event)" : this means that people can see your event and RSVP to it, even if you didn't invite them.
"Show the guest list on the event page" : this just means that people can see who else was invited, and who declined/accepted/maybe'd the event.

Then hit the "CREATE EVENT" button and voila - you have an event! :goodvibes

Has anybody ever told you you're awesome, Ashley? Thank you SO much! Nobody who ever encouraged (aka 'forced') me to join Facebook ever explained it to me! I was going to go to the For Dummies website and see if they offer Facebook for Dummies!

Thank you again, very, very much!!!

No problem! To be honest, the only reason I knew how is because I had to make one last weekend for a LOST finale party I'm having. :lmao:
