We did some of the awesome face painting at Animal Kingdom *and* at MGM and I was just wondering if they have it at Magic Kingdom somewhere, too?

I'd love to do it for the kids before MNSSHP :)

I think they have face painting in mickey's toontown. We didn't get time to get face painting done!!

I never heard of the face painting--is this new?? where can we get it @ AK & MGM __and MK if anyone knows??? madskyjam----I just ordered some of your great shirts and I see that you are doing MNSSHP--When are you going??? just wondering if we would be there @ the same time we will be there 10/1-10/9 MNSSHP on 10/6!! :cool1:

My nephew had his face painted at MGM -- looked fantastic, but within about 20 minutes he broke out in hives and we raced to the bathroom to wash it all off :sad1:

His sister was done at the same time and wore hers the rest of the day without incident, and I saw plenty of other kids painted throughout the trip.

He has no allergies and never had any previous reaction like that, so I'd go ahead and do it but if your child has sensitive skin you might think twice.

What a bummer - our girls have very sensitive skin (eczema and a few other conditions) and they didn't react at all. However, it seemed like some of the makeup was a different base than other parts - the base is like stage makeup, but very light - and the accents are done in something else. It *is* water-based, so if they sweat or it rains, it will rub off - but it doesn't flake like regular face painting.

We'll be there from the 1st through the 5th :) We're doing MNSSHP on the 2nd :) Be sure to say "hi" if you see us!!

The face painting is soooo amazing!!! I need to scan in some pictures of my DD's with their faces done.

The 3 year old was painted like a cat and looked SOOOO kitty-like she could have been in the musical "Cats". The five year old did hers twice - once she was a butterfly and once she was a music something? The seven year old got an ice princess design.

okay, I'm impatient and I just took digital pictures of the real pictures in the album - so they're not the *best* quality...

There is one in toontown i get it done all the time also im animal kingdom i luv getting my face painted there so good

Do you remember what kinds of designs they had in Toontown?

I know they varied a bit from MGM to Animal kingdom and I'm just curious as to what to expect :)

My daughter got her face painted in MK last year and loved it. I can't remember all of their designs, but they reminded me off flowery masks (not sure if that is clear or not), they also had some options for the boys too.

I went to other sites looking for photos and found some posts that said it was FREE during MNSSHP??

Oh, man would THAT be cool!! We paid between $12 and $15 per face last time - and with a family of 6 it sure adds up :)

Anyone know if it's still a "free" part of MNSSHP and, if so, what time they start doing it? We will be in the park most of the afternoon.

DS then 7 sweated his face paint right off last June. He had it for about 40 minutes then POOF gone. This June we skipped it. We only face paint in cooler months now! :teeth:

Be careful about the time of day you decide to do it. We've done it in Toontown and in AK (located in Africa near Kilimanjaro Safaris). My daughter wanted it sooo bad, but then was very frustrated that I didn't want her to swim when we returned to the resort a couple of hours later for our midday break.
