Face painting or other such activities?

Hi! I am wondering if there is face painting or other similar things that would be fun for a 7 year old girl in DL and/or DCA. We won’t be doing BBB because she’s not into princesses and we’ve done Pirates League at MK. She loves getting her face painted and also loved getting her hair wrapped at AK. All suggestions are welcome - thank you!!

Face painting is available in DL over by the walkway to Tomorrowland next to the Matterhorn (across from the Alice and Wonderlamd bathrooms in Fantasyland). I’ve also seen it in DCA but it seems to move around a bit so you might ask a cast member.

There are multiple face painting spots in both parks. It’ll run you $16-20+ depending on the design, which can range from just a cheek to your entire face.

My daughter just did this one last week (holiday-themed), but there are dozens and dozens of options, including Star Wars themed (in Tomorrowland) and Marvel themed (in Hollywoodland) ones.

We've done the face painting at DL and DD absolutely loved it. It was on the top of her list when we went two years ago, because she had seen kids with painted faces at Lincoln Park Zoo that summer but I said no because it was way too hot. So I happily said YES at Disneyland, where it was much cooler! We paid $20 for a lovely design. We went to the stand near the Matterhorn that another poster mentioned above.

One thing that might be relevant here is that DVC members get a $2 discount on face painting at Disneyland. DH and I joke that our DVC membership will eventually pay for itself in face paint discounts if we keep going to DLR.

Here she is, riding the teacups in her Zarina costume with her face paint (aka her natural habitat):

The face painting at DCA of late has been outside Knicks Knacks across from Lamplight Lounge. There is a Henna station there as well though I wouldn't really recommend the Henna. Two of my girls have had the henna done by different artists and neither of them were very good. Fortunately the henna product used wasn't great either so the designs didn't last super long but still, whatever you get will be there for at least a few days so if its mediocre you're stuck with it.

The face painting, on the other hand, is usually very well done.

During the Lunar New Year Celebration at DCA, January 25th through February 17, 2019,
complimentary face painting is offered. There have been several different really nice designs to choose from in the past.

I saw that they had face painting for Lunar New Year last year. Does anyone know how sanitary it is? Like do they use a new brush or palette of paints per kid's face?
