Face Characters

I have never seen a character I was disappointed in. I did see a Snow White last November in Epcot Norway that absolutely took my breath away! Maybe it was the surroundings, but she was the most impressive character I have ever seen! DH even commented "you look fabulous!" to which she giggled a very Snow White giggle!

I just wanted to say thank you to the CM's especially the face characters. They have always gone out of their way to make guests happy. And they are beautiful inside and out

Alabama girl... are you wendy in your sig pic? Gorgeous! You look like an actress I can't put my finger on... I'll figure it out.. but whoever the wendy and peter are in your sig... just how I"d imagine them if they were real

I met the most wonderful fairy godmother oh.. 6 years ago? ... I've seen her since on main street as one of the ladies dressed up... she was wonderful. So much personality. I also saw her at a parade interacting with a little boy for about 10-15 minutes... she was an older lady, a bigger lady... but her personality... she could've put on cinderella's dress and been GORGEOUS.

I am sorry for those who were treated rudely by CMs.. but to me no matter what they look like.. if a CM gets into character they become the most beautiful people in the world!

They need to do a disney movie with an african american princess. Seems unfair...

Has anyone seen the Mad Hatter at the GF 1900 Park Fare breakfast? He is great! I am sure they have more than one...but this one was perfectly in character! It was great! Alice was great, too! Here is a pic of my DH with Alice...she was so sweet!
Also, we must remember, a lot of the face characters are based on animations. Most women don't have eyes that big and noses that small. People are people. I think that Disney casts the best that they can. Just enjoy it!

For all the DISers deliberately posting pictures of Face Characters to be cruel, you are doing an excellent job of showing us your true colors. I'm sure the Prince and Princesses in your lives would be very proud of your behavior.

Wow. I guess it's all in how you look at things. I was posting pictures of characters that don't meet my expectations of what they should look like. I was in not way trying to be cruel. It does not mean that I don't like them as people and I do think they were very attractive. We have loved every interaction we have ever had with the characters and have been kind to every last one. This thread is about characters at WDW not looking the way we think they should right?

Why are so many of the face characters NOT attractive? Most of the Snow Whites and Mary Poppins that I've seen look pretty close to what would be expected, but so many of the other characters just don't look like they should. Cinderella, for example, is supposed to be beautiful and many of them that I've seen posted in pics here aren't. The same can be said for many of the other face characters.

I know lots of you will flame me and say that my comments are shallow, but the fact of the matter is that there are some jobs where you need to be a bit discriminatory in selecting the best candidates.

Cstraub - I am quoting the first post of this thread - this thread is about how ugly some face characters are - maybe that is not how you meant your posts - but since this is the premise of the thread - you can see how many - including the CMs reading this thread would be offended by the pictures you posted

I really must not have read it that closely. Ooops. I totally think that would be terrible to post pictures of ugly CM's. Sorry if I offended anyone. The two pics I had posted previously were of beautiful people I just did not think they were best for that paticular character.
