I'm 17 years old and a guy. I'm about 5'11". I really want to be Peter Pan at WDW. So i heard the Peter Pan height requirement is kind of shorter like 5'9"... When hiring for Peter Pan will they make an exception for height? I know i could be Peter. DOES ANYONE KNOW??

They don't usually make exceptions like that for characters. I think the height requirement for Peter is shorter than 5 9, the max height may be 5 9.

When they run a casting call for characters, they list physical requirements. They do not make exceptions, AFAIK. I would guess that at 5' 11", you won't ever be playing Peter.

Perhaps you could have a few inches surgically removed? You don't really need all of those pesky vertebrae...

I'm afraid you're too tall. Can you imagine Peter running around the castle stage taller than the Princes? Sorry, not likely.

you are definitely too tall to be Peter. if you remember correctly, Peter in the movie is a child. 12 max, I believe. I don't know too many 5'11 12 year olds

Thankss for your help guys!! I just asked my mom how tall i was last time i went to the doctor and i'm actually 5'10" but that is still a stretch i guess...

I did the Disney College Program and rode the bus several times with a guy who was "friends with peter pan". He was very short. I am only 5', and I could almost look him directly in the eye. I would guess he was no taller than 5'4/5'5, and looked like he was 12 years old. He was also had a small build, and couldn't weigh more than 120 soaking wet. My good friend tried out to be a face character, and said they went as far as to measure how wide and long her face was. I think the princessess had to be between 5'6 and 5'9, and certain weight. To be "friends with Mickey" you had to be like 4'10 to 5'0, and right around 100lbs. They are very, very strict with the height. Each character has a height the person must be in order to play that part. Imagine a kid meeting peter pan one day, and he looks like a kid, and the next day he is 6' tall!

HOW WAS THE COLLEGE PROGRAM??? I was looking into it but i wasn't sure... I don't understand it much neither... Do they give you a place to stay, transportation, meal plan, payed job etc????

Yes, with the CP program you are paid. There are CP apartments and bus service. You can get lots of info on the CP board.

I think the max height for Peter is 5'6"...My friend and her hubby work there and he is Peter Pan...She is a lil bit over 5'...maybe 5'2"? and he is about 2 inches shorter than her

I remeber asking her once what the requirements were for characters and i am pretty sure she said max is 5'6"...for Mickey I think she said 5'4"...

Quite a bit of misinformation in this thread.
Go to wdwcollegeprogram.com for any info about the college program and check out disneyauditions.com which doesn't list all specific height requirements and such but will give you a pretty good idea. Height requirements are also different for the different parks, they have different standards in Disney Land Paris than they do Walt Disney World for instance. Granted you're still much taller than Peter Pan, after all he never grew up! But the official sites are your best bet for accurate info.

I'm confused... only Peter Pan is Peter Pan! Wouldn't he be upset and confused to know that someone wants to take his place? Shouldn't you just be yourself? Hmm. :wizard:

Nope ... sorry. They won't. (And, for the record, Peter Pan's height range is 5'2" - 5'6".) Each character (particularly face characters) have very strict height "windows", and Disney does NOT deviate. First and foremost because characters need to look alike. Doesn't really work when photo #1 that little Susie has with Peter Pan has him at one height and photo #2 has him four inches taller. Kind of hard to maintain the magic that way, y'know? Not to mention that costumes are built within a certain range. A few inches one way or another can make for an ill-fitting costume!

However, you might be able to be one of Captain Hook's friends!

5'6'' is NOT the max height in florida.

considering the max height for terrence is 5'7'', and he's a fairy...I'd say the max height for peter is around 5'8'' or 5'9'' at the most.

I'm 5'8'' and I've stood next to one of the current peters and he was eye level with me, so I think they've raised the height for it.

Princes have to be between 5'10'' and 6'2'' though, so you may get a prince spot. I know they'll be auditioning for Flynn soon

Since he's been removed aside from the holiday parties, why would they be auditioning more people for him? They have more than enough great friends already to fill those spots.

I wish they would be stricter with some things though...dd was not happy that she met a blue eyed Flynn. She said he was an impostor, because he should have big *brown* eyes.

Flynn was listed on the auditions rosters not long ago-- maybe 10 days ago?-- definitely after it was announced that he had been pulled from the M&G.

Are you really 5'8", or do you tell people you're 5'8"? There's a difference...
