Fabric question

I recently acquired a shirt that is 100% polyester, and about 4 sizes too big. can i just cut the bottom or will i have to hem it? in other words, will it unravel or pull apart at all?

You'll have to hem it, it will unravel. If it was fleece then you would be ok but poly will unravel.
