FAA to require new safety inspections on Boeing 737s

I wondered when this would come -- Boeing seemed to leap very quickly into the issue of the SWA testing, which made me conclude that the flaw might be something specific to the 737, rather than specific to SWA.

There was another incident three days ago with an American flight -- also a 737 -- that had passengers starting to pass out as soon as it reached cruising altitude. The FA's asked for the oxygen masks because they were feeling sick (they didn't come down automatically, but were deployed by the pilots.)

It isn't clear yet whether the AA situation was a pressurization-system failure or something else, but I'm a little concerned that there may be a flaw in that aircraft's design that Boeing didn't account for in the maintenance procedures.
