I was hoping for Free Dining for August or a 40 % code but did some calculations and this may not even be such a great deal.

I was able to get HBC for $128 a night with a Disney View and breakfast every morning for 2. Even with a rental car/parking fees this comes to $2000 cheaper than a garden view room at the Contemporary with Free dining. That is a huge difference. With the 40% code it is about $600 less.

I'm a big on-site fan, but I am a bigger fan of my money and I'm realizing off-site at Hilton Bonnet Creek may be the way to go.

Any thoughs on this?

I think you will love it. I wish I could get that deal for May or October (I will try). Did you get this deal by calling or from the webside?

We stayed at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek last May amd the Waldorf in November. It is a very convenient area.

I kind of like having my car and not relying on busses. It was gloden having the valet brng the car in November. So very easy. It was worth the price of admission so to speak.

Besides if you have anyone in your party who is on another schedule, there is a big very comfortable bus for them to take from the Waldorf or the Hilton, which we tried both to MK and AK. We just drove to MGM and EPCOT since it was literally a 5 minute drive.

The Wyndham has its own shuttle which is not nearly as plush.

Okay, unless I'm looking in the wrong place the cheapest rack rate for a Disney View room at the WA is $278 during our dates in June. No thanks, I'll stick with our plans to stay on Disney property this summer. May be next time...

Yes, My hilton honors account is a gold status. Everyone starts at silver. If you stay enough or get a Hilton AMEX and spend $20,000 per calendar year you get a gold status. Gold gives some perks.

The prices are the same for Gold/Diamond but most hotels give perks for Gold and Diamond ie the free breakfast.

The low rate was for the Fed Gov, there is also a AAA rate and AARP and some others.

I noticed that HBC is $99 for spring break. That is a great deal for anyone going down then.

looks like a nice resort.. If I didnt already book the comfortinn deal for the end of feb I would book this one for $99 per night.. will have to keep it in mind for another trip.
