F & W: Why Crescent Lake Resorts?

.,..and Food and Wine is expanding to eat Miserably Hot.
This year F&W is 2 weeks shorter, we might get 50 days without a festival in 2023 😱

It's possible that Plants and Food and Wine has surpassed the OG in food booth quality as well. The emphasis on fresh ingredients does the former some favors.
Without a doubt Arts and Food and Wine has better plating and more ambitious food. It also has the most things to do that aren't eat or drink.
Food, Wine and Food and Wine has the most booths. Once the crater caused by the impact of the asteroid in the middle of the park is filled in, and they open the revolutionary new building (that is mostly identical to what was there before) they might restart seminars and other collaterals.

I am lucky to live in a city with so many quality options from all over the world (London), so all those festivals don't appeal to me that much (except for the nitro chocolate mousse, RIP. This year there is a nitro cake, fingers crossed).

On that note, Sea World Orlando does a nice job with their spring food festival booths. In contrast we thought Universal’s Mardi Gras food offerings were a dud. BG Tampa wasn’t awesome either.

The festivals are a perk but I don’t think it’s the biggest contributor to Crescent resort popularity. BW and BC are a great balance between economical and easy access to 2 parks.

OKW offers some of lowest point nights (maybe only AK value beats it?) and BW can be near or same point cost. BW View and BC are cheaper than CCV most days, which isn’t even a park walkable resort.

I think the question is more about why those resorts are harder to book in the fall vs other times of the year when there are now festivals year round.

But someone brought a great point. That time of year is the busiest DVC time for all resorts and it may have nothing to specifically do with it being F& W

If the swapped it to Festival of Arts and moved F &W to January, the fall bookings would still be difficult at the resorts.

Please don't do that!! We love the Festival of the Arts just exactly when it is! But I agree with your point.

And just doing a quick check, the BCV and BWV are also booked up for FOA in 2024. Just a great location for people spending time at HS, EPCOT, and the EPCOT festivals.......

They would never! It was just to illustrate that if the festival was a different one, it would still be hard to book those places!

Ahh I see. To me it seems like fall is the spring break of DVC. You get that mild but still pool weather for less points and crowds than spring. Makes it very attractive.
