DH loves Le Cellier. Last year, we walked up and put our names in, then walked around and "tasted" a few things from the F&W Festival. I was mega-stuffed by the time we'd left Canada...and didn't even get to taste much else around the world.

Well, guess what...DH wants to eat at Le Cellier again this year. We're park hopping for only two days. Does anybody have any suggestions? Maybe going to Le Cellier and SPLITTING a hamburger and dessert (can we even do that?).

We're not big into planning ––more of a "turkey-leg-on-the-go" kinda couple and this whole PS thing always screws me up. Do ya'll take time out of your day to go to another resort for a PS? How do you possibly fit it all in? I know some of you have PSs for every meal. Since we're only there for three days, I think it would take too much time out of our park days...

You definitely can split a meal at Le Cellier, even sandwiches and dessert. However, I don't think I'd want to, being that it's F+W Time. :) Is there anything in particular that your husband wants to try from Le Cellier, or is it just the experience?

He just really enjoyed the sit down aspect, I think, and the fact that it was better than counter service. We got bleu cheese burgers, and I think he'd eat dirt if it was topped with bleu cheese  . I really would just rather do the festival and snack my way around the World...

Maybe if we park hopped over there for DINNER and did the festival on our full half-day there...

Or... if you are REALLY lucky you could do a food and wine pairing at Le Cellier like we did last year during the F&W Festival. Your DH can still sit down :goodvibes

We had three wines paired with three different tastings of food. Not enough to really fill us to full, but enough to know that we had eaten. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and will try to do more of them this year.

Hope that helps...

Elin

The Food and Wine Festival is at Epcot and usually runs from October 1st through the first week in November. Each country in the world showcase (as well as a number of others) set up stands and sell "taster" size portions of food, which run between $2 to $5. It's a lot of fun if you go with more than one person because you can all share everything.

MMMM..that sounds very yummy. Is there an extra cost besides buying the "taster's" and normal park admission? Do they have tasters for wine to? :teeth:

Thank you for telling me about it?? I will have to make sure we check it out while there this year.

I too struggle with this as I love trying the options at the F&W festival, but hubby (big appetite) thinks they are just "little appetizers" and likes a bigger meal. Why don't you munch on the festival food and then just have dessert at Le Cellier while your husband has a meal. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

There is no extra charge for F&WF as long as you have your admission to Epcot.

And yes along with the food most stands have wine. Also if you also like to "wine taste" you can go to Germany anytime of the year and sample the wines they have at the back of the wine store. I think for $5 (don't quote me) you get to sample 3 or 4 wines. This is a big treat for my mom whenever we go!

The sizes ARE small, but after making our way partway around, we get stuffed. Plus it's cheaper than doing a sit down place for dinner. ;)

At Germany, it's $7, $9, and $11 depending on which level you choose (lower end whites, higher end whites, reds).

Make a PS at Le Cellier if you want to try it at this time of the year. I think you were lucky to be able to get your name on the list. Dh and I tried to change our PS this past fall (end of Oct/beginning of Nov) and were not able to do so. It was completely booked for both lunch and dinner during the 4 days we were there!!
