F&W Events....Who's anxious for the schedule???

How does the signing up for events work? Is it like ADR's? Can we pay in advance or are we charged when we go?

I think I read somewhere that the Party for the Senses was held on Saturday nights last year. Does anyone remember? If you have been to it before, can you tell me what it is all about . . . :hippie:

The special events are NOT ADRS. They are paid in full when you book them and you have reserved a spot at the event. There is a cancellation policy.

www.allearsnet.com has last year's schedule somewhere under "dining" if you want to see what the events were and what they cost last year.

Some of the limited seating dinners and events are so popular that they will fill up the same day booking opens.

Went into Loverboys website and Check the venue for 10/8 - 10/11.

Darn wont be there during those days.

I *think* they are held every Saturday during the F&W Festival. It runs from 6-9 pm (or was it 6:30-9:30? I forgot, sorry!)

There is entertainment by cirque du soleil which is worth a lot of $$ to me right there. Then there were like...60 wineries and 25 chefs from around the globe, offering samples. You drink and eat as much as you wish. You also get a beautiful, commemorative wine glass to take home, I know one year they were Reidel glasses, last year they were another "high quality" brand.

It is well worth the $100 per person.

I did what you suggested - thank you so much for the hint. Three Dog Night's tour schedule says they'll be playing in Epcot when we're there! :woohoo: As early 40-somethings, DH and I can remember Three Dog Night songs from when we were young. Their songs are some of the first songs I can remember hearing on the radio. It is going to be such a kick seeing them perform. :hippie:

We saw three dog night last year...the were fantastic.

DH and I have been to many of the 'separate ticket' events at F&W with the exception of the "Exquisite Evenings".

For the past two years, we scheduled our vacations so we could attend TWO of the Party for the Senses  Probably one of the most hedonistic things we have done.

We have also done the lunch pairings at several restaurants, Lunch and Learn a couple of times, the all day Wine School (Banfi at Alfredo's last year), the Brewer's Dinner with beer pairings, and a Reserve (or Signature) Dinner at CG.

PM me if you want details on some of these.

I am 29 and I've seen TDN over 15 times as my dad is a HUGE fan. We even got to cheauffer them on one of their tour stops for the weekend. We drove them to and from the hotel to the venue etc.
So excited that they will be there on our last night at WDW. Now I have to change around the park schedule - but who cares! I'm so psyched! Thanks for the info!

According to pollstar, Family Stone Experience will be in Epcot from 10-1-06 to 10-3-06. Also, Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas will be there on 10-7-06 but if you look at their website they will be there from 10-4-06 to 10-7-06.

We have attended Party for the Senses as well as some of the Food & Wine pairings in previous years and they have been great! :thumbsup2

I suggest taking the time to really look at the event schedule when you first go in to Epcot and try to take in some of the cooking exhibits, or wine discussions. My DH and I happened to be in the right place to get into a wine seminar with MacMurray Ranch one year. Turns out the gal giving the talk was Fred MacMurray's daughter who happened to be a good friend of Walt Disney. Her story was so interesting!!! Oh and the wines were pretty darn good too....even at 11 am :teeth:

I think this is one of Disney's best events and the Eat to the Beat concerts are always fun to grab a quick snack and sit in on. Three Dog Night has put on a great show in the past and we can hardly wait for the schedule to come out for our trip. It isn't unusual to find us in Epcot every night!

Can't wait for the schedule! Last year we did Party For The Senses, a Lunch and Learn with Ming Tsai, 2 Food and Wine Parings (Sushi, Sake, Sashami and Coral Reef) and The Spirited Ball. They were all awesome:) I always have to limit myself when the events come out. I wanted to do an Exquisite Evening too but the events we did were around $700.

The following line-up of performers is scheduled for the 2006"Eat to the Beat" Concert Series:

9/29 - 9/30 - Survivor

10/1 - 10/3 - The Family Stone Experience

10/4 - 10/7 - Starship

10/8 - 10/11 - Loverboy

10/12 - 10/14 - David Sanborn

10/15 - 10/16 - The Beach Boys

10/17 - 10/18 - Little Richards

10/19 - 10/21 - Three Dog Night

10/22 - 10/25 - The Four Tops

10/26 - 10/28 - Gloria Gaynor

10/29 - 11/1 - The SOS Band

11/2 - 11/4 - The Contours

11/5 - 11/6 - Chubby Checker

11/7 - 11/8 - Southside Johnny

11/9 - 11/12 - Jon Secada

Performances are at 5:45, 7:15 and 8:30

My sister and I will be attending the F&W the second week of October. We will be there for Loverboy, David Sanborn and the Beach Boys. It will be my sister's first time to the World. My DH and I went last year to the festival, it is going to be such fun.
Which event is worth forking out the $$ for. I will be celebrating my 40th and would like to do something fun. The Party for the Senses sounds great. :thumbsup2
