I'm waiting to make all my plans around which days and when the culinary demos that I want to attend are. That will determine which days I go to which parks, and when and where I might make any ADRs. For example, I was thinking of going to DHS on Sunday afternoon of my trip, but if there's a culinary demo I decide to attend at 3:00, I'll be at Epcot. And I won't make dinner ADRs that day either. I'm thinking of going to AK Tuesday and dining at Yak and Yeti TS, but again, if there's a culinary demo that day (instead of Sunday) well, there goes AK that day, and I'll just have to shuffle my schedule around and do AK a different day. This waiting, and not being able to make plans, stinks! Hurry up Disney!

You will be waiting a long time. In general they are not released until the same week booking opens. Which will likely be in August.

Make ADRs if you think you will want them, you can always cancel them.

My DH asks almost daily if I've seen or heard anything new. He'll be disappointed to learn that it maybe August before we can make any real plans.

Could you make duplicate ADRs on different days to try and hedge your bets?

So make 2 or 3 Y&Y ADRs on 2 or 3 different days for example...

Late July or early August is the earliest we'd hear anything. You could look at last year's schedule to see if you can glean what you'd think you'd like to try. The event meals tend to be on the same days year-to-year. And the culinary demos will be generally at the same times each day, we just won't know what food they're using until the list comes out.

Like the others said, you could hedge your bets on a couple of days and make preliminary plans that can be changed, if necessary.

Last year, the details on the special events and seminars were released on July 23. If you were a DVC member or had an annual pass, you could begin to make reservations for some events on 7/25, Disney Visa cardholders were able to make reservations for some events on July 30, and everyone else could make reservations starting on July 31.

The festival was moved back one week in 2014 so event details were released earlier than usual. For 2015, the festival start date has been pushed back a week so the release date could be later, usually early August.

The Disney Food Blog is a good resource for the marketplace menus and past special events:

Yes, I did just now make a couple ADRs tentatively. I was really surprised at how limited availability is during the whole week I'm there in October. Then when the culinary schedule does come out, I'll just have to decide whether to move around or cancel things. But you're right-tentative ADRs are very necessary!

Just noticed that we will both be at the Beach Club at the same time. Our countdown tickers are the same!
