F & W Cheese Tasting

I really enjoyed the Cheese Tasting this past Saturday. The cheese selection was impeccable:

and the wines perfectly complemented them.

I would do this again in a heartbeat.

You were at the same one we were at!!!! Well...supposed to be at. We remembered the time being 2pm. We used the restrooms outside the Odyssey and took a look at the bulletin board and it said 2:45pm, so we figured we remembered wrong. We get there at 2:45 and they tell us we're 3 of 12 people that didn't show at 2pm! Right behind us comes 3 others who saw the board as well.

A manager authorized a refund of our money and they let us at least taste the cheeses and wines that were at "our" table that sat unused. Great cheeses and wines! The two speakers came over and talked to us for a few minutes about the cheeses and wines as well.

We saw that sign, too, but there were already people in line and a Disney person wandering around, so we were able to confirm the right time. So sorry you missed it - but I am glad you got to talk to Waldemar. He was terrific and the cheese/wine pairings were delicious.

Yes, he was EXCELLENT! Very knowledgeable and an interesting person to talk to.

We were outside the building at about 12:45pm (we'd done the lecture on Pecorino Romano), so nobody was lined up yet, so we went about our business until 2:45!

I was there, too.
I thought the cheeses were wonderful and the 2 wines paired well with them. Wine portions seemed on the smaller side, but servers did frequently return to top off the glasses. Waldemar is a fantastic speaker -- not only an expert on cheeses but a captivating lecturer as well.

Overall, I thought the event was excellent. However, I thought it was a bit overpriced and not something I'd book in the future without further value added.
