F&W booths or restaurant?

We're going to Epcot during F&W festival. I'm debating whether to make a dining reservation for lunch or dinner, or just eat from the F&W booths. For those that have been there and sampled the foods, would you recommend just eating the foods from the booths? And what are some of your favorites?
Thanks

You can make a meal out of the booths but know they are smaller portions. We typically stop and several booths piecing together a meal. Sometimes there are long waits but it is worth it to try a bunch of stuff. It also ends up being more expensive than a sit down meal would have been.

I can make a meal out of 3 samples for myself. I'm not a big eater, especially when I'm walking around outside in the sun all day. But I've found that 3 samples are enough for me. This will work especially if you go for things like the cheese soup from Canada, then Fisherman's Pie from Ireland & a pulled pork slider from Hawaii. Those would hold me over for a while. :)

We go for 7 nights during F & W staying at BCV. We have park hoppers and we are in Epcot 2 full days, 2 half travel days and 4 -5 evenings. We do both.We Nosh every day We eat a CS lunch one day and F & W booths for dinner, we do F & W lunch and a TS dinner etc. Sampling at the booths is wonderful. But a sit down restaurant meal to relax at the end of a long touring day, is also wonderful. We do both.
If I only had one day I would just do the booths
Have Fun

Last year I had one sort of meal (tea at the Grand Floridian) and one of the food and wine pairing meals and one TS lunch (HBD obsessed with the Cobb Salad and cheese plate can't help myself) other than bfast all my other meals were made up with samples from the booths and whatever food was served at seminars. I was there for 4 nights, 5 days and didn't get to half of the booths I wanted to. This year I'm doing 5 nights, 6 days and other than my tea at GF (I have to) and a food and wine meal pairing I have no ADRs booked. I have a food seminar booked 2 days and wine seminars booked for 3 days and I have a feeling I'm not going to get to everything I want again.

I would not book any TS meals on F&W days. If you felt the need for more, after small plates at the booths, there are plenty of CS restaurants around World Showcase for supplemental a-la-carte foods. I would play it by ear.

If you like to try a variety of different things, F&W kiosks are the way to go ! If you feel like you'd rather just stick to what you know and sit down to a meal of steak (or whatever) then F&W may not be for you. If you're into variety, you won't go away hungry from the the F&W kiosks. For someone concentrating on attractions and shows, it might be best just to stick with a regular meal as it is time consuming to eat around the world. :earsboy:

If your diet is limited, I would still plan on a meal. We're vegetarian and there's just not enough there for us. An adventurous omnivore with no ingredient issues would do much better with the booths.

It really depends on how you like to eat. I enjoy the F&W festival, but I'm not big on walking around with small plates and trying to eat. I much prefer sitting down and eating a meal. We even did Party for the Senses one year and I couldn't take the waiting in line, getting a small bite and then waiting in line again for something else. But, that's just me! If we are there during F&W, I will typically pick one or two things I want to try as a snack or a dessert. But I'll still make an ADR for our meal. However, unless you want to eat at Le Cellier, Via Napoli or Akershus, making an ADR days or months in advance may be unnecessary. We make day-of EP ADR's on the fly a lot and also enjoy many of the QS choices there, so you may want to wing it and just see how you feel.

Outside of the special F & W Dining events we usually just graze our way around WS. We don't plan ADR's for our F & W days. There's no way I would be hungry enough after the booths to do a sit down TS meal. On the days we do the Lunches or Pairings it's usually hours before we even want to eat anything else so we may park hop afterward rather than stay in EPCOT.

We are in the minority in that I made 1 ADR for each of the days we will be at Epcot during F&W Festival. This will be our second F&W Festival and I know from the last time we were all feeling hungry by the time dinner rolled around, only because we didn't eat everything from each of the booths, instead we would look at the offerings and bypass the countries that didn't look interesting to us. Of course if you are planning on eating something from each of the booths, then I wouldn't make any ADRs at all. It's just our family learned from the last time that we don't eat everything that is offered. Have a great time.

We do F&WF booths for lunch, right at opening to beat the crowds, but don't bother at dinner since the crowds can be intense. We do ADRs for dinner since we eat so early at F&WF (11am)- we're usually ready for a good dinner. We usually do all the booths in two mornings/afternoons.

I would say booths all the way....

BUT you could also spend an enjoyable day starting in WS at 11 and then grazing around and have a dinner at 8!

We mainly do the booths but we are going the first weekend of F&W this year. I have an ADR for Saturday night because I feel like it will be so crowded that we wanted a sit down. We can always order something small at our ADR and then still snack or get dessert at the booths.

I'm not doing any ADR's this trip... my one for-sure-going-to-happen commitment is to get an ice cream martinii in France, but other than that it's going to be wander and nosh.

I think it depends on how many days you'll spend at F&W. My plan this year is to do booths for lunch and TS for dinner. If you're going to F&W on the weekend, the booths will have long lines (especially at night) -- so having an ADR for dinner might be a good idea.

We Will combine The two. 2 full days at Epcot with a dinner table service and a lunch table service + an afternoon and dinner table service with view of illuminations. We Will snack 4-5 items at a Time and share.
