F! question and Is FP+ necessary for Fantasmic?

Looks like F! is in tier 1 at DHS but we really want to FP+ TSM. Think there will still be plenty of room to see F! What time should we line up? It starts at 8:30 which is AFTER the park closes. Just wondering if I am reading this right and want to make sure we can see F! without FP since its after closing time.

Virtually no good reason to take the nearly worthless FP+ for Fantasmic!

There are many nights that Fantasmic! runs after DHS "closing time."
Not a bit unusual.
