So I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts but haven't for years. It sounds like I'm going to be wearing an awful lot of 3D glasses at Universal. Do they fit comfortably and with some degree of stability over one's own glasses or would I be better served getting contacts for our trip?

My husband and son both wear glasses and have never complained about the 3D glasses over the top of the ones they wear......

My friend had no problem w/ 3D glasses, but was nervous of them flying off on Hulk so she rode without them. She did not do RRR.

I hadn't even thought of them flying off. They fit well and I don't think we'll do Hulk or RRR. Do I need to get some sort of strap for them? My husband lost a pair of sunglasses on Expedition Everest once, but he wasn't wearing them at the time--tucked them into his collar, I don't think he realized it would go backwards...

You can buy a thing called Croakies to hold them on.........my husband and son’s have never flown off and they go on all the big rides........

If you want to ride the Hulk or Rip Ride Rocket roller coaster, I would buy a pair of Croakies like another person said. I always use one when doing these rides at Universal or Busch Gardens. I don't remember TM asking me to take off my glasses as a safety precaution at universal but have been at other parks. They let me keep the glasses on when they saw i had a strap around them.

We rode Hulk with a man who said he had asked the attendant about his glasses and was told they were fine (no strap holding them). He said at the end of the ride it had felt like he nearly lost them so he didn't enjoy the ride because he was worried about them. As we walked under the walkway back to Port of entry, my DS spotted a pair of glasses in the net above us so someone did lose a pair. I would agree with pp to get the croakies or take them off for the ride.

You'd be ok with glasses but if you can get some contacts for the trip and are o with them I'd recommend them. Couple trips ago I forgot my contacts so only had glasses ad was alright but glasses at parks can be annoying at times in general, especially with lots of on ride glasses too. Last tie I went i had my contacts and it was so much better. didn't have to worry about my glasses falling off and the 3d images were a lot crisper and clearer without having to wear two set of glasses. Having them loser to your eyes really helps the quality. Didn't think much of it when I wore my glasses as it still worked alright but having the comparison of with and without showed the difference.

I wear glasses and had no problem with fitting 3D glasses over without fear of scratching. I can tell you Rip Ride Rocket is more of jacking up your temples/arms than flying off. Years ago I wrecked my prescription sunglasses on that ride. I now put them in the locker for Hulk & RRR.

3 out of 4 of my family wear glasses and we didn’t have any issues at Universal with the 3D glasses.

When I went there this summer (and July 2017), I hadn't any problems wearing 3D glasses over my regular glasses during the TF and Spiderman rides. I did not ride any of the coasters though.

I don't wear glasses anymore, but as long as your glasses fit snugly and don't fly off your face when you bend or lower your head -- you should be good to go.

My husband wears glasses and he has never had an issue with the 3-D glasses or wearing them on rollercoasters
