Extreme Home Makeover - WOW!

What a great season premiere that had tonight!!!! Did anyone else see it? That was just amazing! A soldier lost his leg in Iraq and they redid his whole house for him and his beautiful family! I was in tears from start to finish!

And knowing that they were able to reuse some of his appliances, doors & windows to help another amputee whom Luis met at Walter Reed Medical Center in DC was great!

I like the house when they were finished. It was very cool! I loved the Dr. Seuss room.

I saw it! It was very moving. I got all teared up.

I was just going to post this. I just cry through every one of these! He was so strong, trying so hard to keep a stiff upper lip..but how could anyone? He certainly couldn't, an din fact hardly anyone could. It was so overwhelming, and I loved that he danced with his wife at the end.

I cried, it was amazing. The Dr. Seuss room was awsome, and the fish tank, nemo was everywhere.

The Puertorican backyard was so nice too.

This is my favorite show on television! The season premiere did not disappoint.

I bawl from start to finish, and this was no exception.

Some of my favorite parts.....

the salvage of some materials for Bobby's house

the mortgage being paid off by a local real estate company

and the scholarship for louis's wife's masters degree

I must say, though all families are grateful, this family- truly showed it. And was certainly deserving. For Louis to remind everyone of the sacrifice soldiers continue to give for us to be where we are - another moment I bawled!

This show was made here where I live and everyone in the whole town was there to chip in wherever we could. It was so moving to see that family come home. MSG Rodriguez reminds me so much of my dh. We are a military family community and when someone comes to help one of our family they are essentially helping us all. I just wish my dh was here to see some of his handy work
