extra year with developer points???

Is it possible, due to extenuating circumstances, to get DVC to give an extra year to use developer points?

My co-worker just bought into AKV (my first referal!!! ) a couple of months ago, not knowing that during the vacation she bought at, she was pregnant!! Now she does not see herself able to travel because she is further along, and once the baby comes will not want to travel with a tiny infant. Do you think DVC would be able to extend her a few extra months or an extra year to use her developer points?

I dont think so, but they can rent DP and save the money for next year vacation.............

I guess that is what I must do!!

She could make a reservation for a friend or relative. But those points expire at the end of the year.

I say just go and take the baby (so long as everyone is healthy) - we took both of ours when they were 12 weeks old. You just have to use common sense and go slow. Granted I wouldn't go with a barely born newborn though - you didn't say how old the baby would be.

My youngest was just 3 months old when we traveled to WDW with her and 3 year old sister. No problems at all! Actually, it is much easier when they are infants as opposed to toddlers who want to run all over the place, lol.

There are wonderful baby stations where you can visit to nurse or change baby and they just love sleeping on rides such as Spaceship Earth and The American Adventure. I say go for it!

My daughter was 4 months old when we first took her, and as CarolAnnC said it really was a lot easier than taking a toddler. You just have to pace yourself accordingly.
We had a stroller for her stuff but most of the time we used a Snugli to carry her around and it was great.

I agree that you should encourage her to take the baby! My two youngest children took their 1st trips to WDW at 5 and 7 months. There are soooo many things that can be done as a family that we really had a great time on both trips!
