Extra Towels?

So you got four extra facecloths? Weird. Did they have them folded into a shape or something? We used to get a facecloth folded into a toothbrush holder a few years ago.

Yes - they were everywhere! I was going thru all of them because at first I couldn't locate the 2 hand towels which were on a towel bar in the water closet room.

I would love extra wash cloths. I don't reuse towels at home but I will when using DVC but I don't like to reuse wash cloths. We are usually in a 2BR so I just wash some.

Adding extra people to the reservation also will get you more towels. We're 3 but when we stay in a studio that sleeps 5 my two nices are on the reservation even though they don't came with us. That way we get towels for 5 not 3. In a 1Br its easy to do aload of towels in a studio not so much.

That really has nothing to do with it either. When we are in an OKW studio with two of us, we get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths because that studio sleeps four. If the studio sleeps five, Housekeeping should automatically be putting in towels for five. They have no idea who is going to be in that villa when they are cleaning it for the next guest. They are just cleaning it for as many guests as the room sleeps. At least that's what they should be doing.

In February 5 of us got 5 bath towels.

The number of guests on the reservation is irrelevant. Housekeeping has no idea how many people are booked for the room.

Though I wonder if they aren't putting five towels in now where the studios sleep five. That would make sense.

I guess I am a "Special Guest" too.
I usually travel solo, and always get 4 bath towels, 4 wash cloths, 2 hand towels, and a bath rug.

Nope, it doesn't work that way. They will place the same number of towels in every room. If you are missing the standard allotment then call. What adding more people to a room does is give Disney the justification to allocate more common area expenses to DVC, so it does increase something.....your dues.

At BLT and AKV they place 4 towels and wash cloths, 2 hand towels and one bath mat in each bathroom, every time we have stayed in them, with the exception of the studios at BLT, then our towels in that room have really varied from 2 to 6, but the wash cloths are often on the lesser side. But when I call housekeeping we always are given a complete set of everything on top of what is already in the room.

We just returned from a wonderful seven night stay at the VGF. The first three mornings the maid came around and asked if we wanted more towels, or anything, it was great since we needed more hangers and dishwasher detergent. On day four we had clean sheets and everything. One more reason we love VGF, and we get to stay on our $85 SSR purchased points! We don't expect the extra service in the future, but it was nice.

Our standard view, room 1325, had a slice of the lake and a head on view of the fireworks.

Us too. We normally stay in AKV and BLT 2 bedrooms and have always had 12 towels

Towels the number you get and what you are suppose to get varies.
This past year we have stayed at (studio) GF, BLT, BC and WL we have received as few as 4 and as many as 8 bath towels. One stay we received 10 wash cloths, I wondered if it were the last room to be cleaned and they wanted to empty the cart.

We recently stayed at the Poly and with the split bath had more towels than we knew what to do with. Not to mention, on day 2, they left another full compliment of towels on the bed. We had about 12 towel sets floating around the room. On day 4 we still got towel service. It is a bit random.
