Extra time at Hollywood studios?

Hi everyone! My FP+ day is approaching. I have most of the parks worked out, but HS is confusing me.

Travelling: Me, DH, DD7. Staying at POR: no park hoppers (at least at the moment). HS day is Sunday August 30. TouringPlans has that day as a 4.

We will not be riding RockinRollerCoaster or ToT, not interested in Disney Junior. Currently the must-do list is:

Fantasmic Dinner package: 4:30 at Mama Melrose
Fantasmic
Character meets: Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Cars
Toy Story Midway Mania (ideally more than once)
All the Frozen stuff (Royal Welcome, Sing-a-long, Fireworks)
Beauty and the Beast
Little Mermaid
MuppetVision
Animation Academy
Playground

On the list of possibly, depending on DD (she is sensitive about emotional intensity in movies so I'm not sure how she would do):
Star Tours
Great Movie Ride
Stunt Shows
EDIT: after watching some Youtube videos, and my knowledge of what has scared/ upset her before, it looks like the Indiana Jones show is probably out of the question, and sadly, the Great Movie Ride. Star Tours would be fine though and the car stunt show as well, especially if Lightning McQueen is still in it.

Am I missing anything?

When I enter all of these (including most of the optional attractions) in TouringPlans with rope drop to close (currently 9:30 pm), I have fairly big gaps of time and that is without any FP+ so I expect those will grow. Do you think that's accurate? Assuming it is, what would you do with that extra time? Return to POR for a rest/ swim? Go to the Boardwalk? Sleep in (for us that's 8:30) and maybe get to the park at 10:30?

Also, how much time would you budget for the meet and greets and dinner?

Thanks everyone!

Since you're not riding RnRC, you can get FP+ for Toy Story and not have to worry about choosing FP+ for one and getting to the other at rope drop. I think it would be a good sleep-in morning or one for a leisurely breakfast. Although, you could get there for rope drop and get in an extra TS ride then.

We aren't big on character meets or table service meals, but I'm sure someone else can help you out on that front :)

Since you are going to be there in August, I'd build in an early afternoon rest at your resort. Get out of the heat for a couple of hours and put your feet up. Then go back for your early dinner ( it should take an hour or so), get in a couple more attractions and watch F!.

Hollywood Studios is a tricky park - so few rides, and a lot of scheduled shows. If you're not interested in Tower of Terror and RnR, that creates another gap.

I don't know how much time to allot for meeting the characters. The one thing I have heard, is that the line for Woody and Buzz can get long and stay long.

If you go from the parade and do the 11:45 Beauty and the Beast (it is the first showing), and leave directly after you should be able to take a break for a swim. I don't know the exact parade route, but make sure you are standing on the side closest to the Beauty theater for a jump on all of the other parade watchers who might be going to the show.

I would leave the Frozen Sing-a-long until after your dinner. Same with Muppet - that is almost always 'walk right in'. I would also probably make sure to do Animation in the morning.

Get there at rope drop (make sure you're there early for rope drop since everyone is going to try the same) and you may be able to get on Toy Story standby before your fastpass. If that doesn't work - go to Woody & Buzz instead. See what else you can fit in before the parade.

I also suggest getting there at rope drop to stand by Toy Story Mania. You want to ride it multiple times. Anything besides rope drop or FP+ can result in a long wait, even on less crowded day. Then as others suggested, head back to your hotel for a relaxing swim or nap. You should have time to return for your 4:30 reservation. I would allow 1 1/4 for your dinner. No need to rush, you are on vacation! Have a great time.

Definitely don't try to cram the shows together too much. We have made that mistake before. If you have time, then you can try the back-to-back. I wouldn't assume that you will be able to though. Allow time to get to the shows and also to get lunch. DHS doesn't have very many counter service places, so they full up quickly. Hopefully, at a slower time it won't be too bad.

DHS is so weak right now that our plan consists of getting there at 5, using 3 FP, see Fireworks and Fantasmic and heading back to hotel.
