It has been awhile since I was here last, but I know you guys will know the answer if anyone does.

We are headed to Aulani in May. We decided to stay 9 days in a ocean view studio instead of 5 days in our usual 1BR at WDW. (hey its Hawaii - gotta splurge) My only complaint (not really) is the lack of anywhere to put snacks and other food items in a studio. Has anyone ever taken a collapsible set of shelves to a studio so you would have a place to put chips, fruit, etc. If so, what did you use.

I am hoping to only do one trip to the Walmart for food so extra storage would help us do this.

From the photos, it looks like there are cabinets and a counter where you should be able to just put all your food items. Not that neatly, but it should be fine. Or you could bring a collapsible cooler bag and leave the food snacks in there. I don't know where you would put shelves. The television counter might work for some stuff, too.

Thanks Deb and Bill. :flower3: There is not a lot of room in the cabinets for more than what is already in them. They are already filled with paper bowls, paper plates and glasses. Like you said the counter space is also nearly non-existent. They are fine for a few days, but with 9 days, I am hoping to work a little more space. I just had a thought that if I could bring some sort of collapsible shelves, they could go against the blank wall between the kitchen area and the TV cabinet. I was hoping to find someone who has supplemented the kitchen storage. You know kinda like we do with the shoe holder in the bathroom.

Just finding something that will fit in the luggage and not weigh a ton is the chore. Thanks again. :thanks:

Hmm, I would think in the closet, or possibly the drawers under the TV.

Do you unpack all your clothes and put them in drawers or live out of the suitcase? You might be able to make one work as an "over the door" hanger or suction cupped to the doors?

I unpack. I hate the "living out of a suitcase" feel. Last time, the closet was pretty well filled too. Never got the hang of packing light. I pretty much move and and take up residence. That is why we love our DVC. Mini home.

Some just recommended the "AmazonBasics 6 Cube Wire Storage Shelves" set. They breakdown into small squares that can be assembled into little cubbies. Perfect. Thanks everyone, I will try this out and let you know if it is worth the trouble. :flower3:
