I keep hearing AJ on the Disney Food Blog talk about the possibility of getting a specialty drink on top of the meal at places where the drink is included in the actual meal. I think one of the examples she used was 'Ohana dinner.

Does anyone have any experience with this at all?

Thanks!

Yes - at a place like 'Ohana where non-alcoholic drinks are "all you can drink" included, you can generally get a bar drink for your "specialty drink" part of your DDP credit and still get a soda/coffee/tea without an extra charge.

THANKS!

Is there anywhere to find a list or a guideline of what restaurants/meals these include?

I think it's technically server discretion I believe, but we have had many servers offer it as an option at buffets/price fixe places. We even had our server offer two drinks at 50's Prime Time.

We've always been successful with this at buffets, i.e. coffee and a mimosa at Akershus, iced tea and a glass of wine at Cape May.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking of posting to the DFB youtube channel a comment on the original video and see if AJ can come up with a list. ;)

I’m not sure you need a detailed list. I think that the easy way to think about it is that any meal that charges a set price will include a non-alcoholic beverage, plus an adult drink if you are on the dining plan.
