The article in the Orlando Sentinel states that the ban includes at Halloween parties.I really hope it isn't true that costumes for adults will be banned at Halloween parties too. That's the whole reason I go!!
Wow. No costumes at MNSSHP? That was a good portion of why we went to MNSSHP! Dressing up as a family as Rapunzel, Flynn and Pascal (our 15 month old DD) was the absolute best experience!

I would say at least double the "visible" security I've seen in past December trips.
They were everywhere-it felt good seeing them.
I wonder if ticket sales to the parties will drop?!

I'm making my thoughts on it known to Disney now too. I just finished e-mailing them.I saw that, but we are also a long way off from the next Halloween party (things can change), and I will be waiting to hear it from Disney directly.
I haven't kept up with the Star Wars stuff. I wonder if guests were intending to go in costume?
If that announcement stands, I expect the Halloween parties at Disney to come to a screeching halt in the next couple of years. People go to Halloween parties to dress up, not to collect crappy candy.According to the Orlando Sentinel "Disney World is also discontinuing the sale of toy guns and banning people 14 and older from wearing costumes – even at Halloween parties. I still remember the entire interaction we had with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider at that party w/DD as Pascal. My parents even dressed up! They had capes and crowns and were Rapunzel's parents. I haven't seen them dress up in 25 years! If that announcement stands, I expect the Halloween parties at Disney to come to a screeching halt in the next couple of years.
