We are heading to see WDW on Wednesday. One of our kids has decided to join us for the last 4 days we are there. I called to add him to the room & was told to wait until we got there because if we added him in advance we would be charged for the extra person for all of the nights even if he wasn't there!!??
Then I called Magical Express asking about getting him on the bus - they said that once he was on our reservation we were supposed to call them & they would put his name into the computer --- he won't have any paper work to check in with at the desk. They said that he can use one of our extra 'yellow' tags for his luggage.

So --- wondering if this is all correct --- has anyone done this without any problem????:confused3

Typically, we've had no problem with adding our daughter to the reservation once we arrive. I don't think they have the ability in their computer to have people on the same reservation arriving on different dates. I'm guessing that you have a room only reservation, as with packages, you'd definitely have to wait until you arrived to add him. Their computer systems are just not very flexible and it would just be alot easier to add him when you get there.

In regards to ME, I haven't used the service, but everything I've read on the DIS indicates that this is no problem. If he doesn't have a yellow luggage tag, it just means that he'd have to take his own bag from luggage claim and bring it to the ME desk. If you've added him to your reservation at the hotel, they should be able to pull him up in the computer and he'll be on his way.

If he is added to the reservation then there will be no problems with DME. Once he is added you will need to call DME. He can still have his luggage transported to the resort without the tags. They will ask for a description of his bags and the baggage claim number. They will pull the luggage and send it to the resort. No need to take the luggage on the bus.
