My family is staying in a studio villa at wilderness lodge....we rented points and are staying 7 nights. My question is.....we have a family member in Florida and she was thinking of coming for 1 night...is it possible for her to stay in the villa with us?

If you are within occupancy and don't have the dining plan, just register them with the front desk. If you would be over the occupancy for the villa then they should not be staying with you. If you have the dining plan you'd have to pay for the extra person for the entire week.

It will be myself, Dh, dd6,ds4, ds1...for the week. We r planning on adding the dining plan for us. I believe the Florida fam member would pay out of pocket seeing that it's only for 1 night.

For VWL you should be able to have 5 plus the infant but you'd need to do the DP for all present at any time since all on the reservation have to get the DP. Hopefully people wouldn't be dishonest and sneak them in.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Sounds like it would be cheaper for her to get a rm for the night this way she don't need to pay for a week worth of dining. Plus I can hide in her rm need be:rolleyes1

She can be added as a day guest that is spending the night. As long ad you are within occupancy that should be fine. We get added as day guests when family visits. We get our own access so we can come into the resort without stopping at the guard.

I had read somewhere that because you have to add the DDP 2 days prior, if an additional guest shows up at check in they would not be able to add the DDP.

The DDP rules do create a catch 22. It might be possible to add them as a day guest. My issue is that if it would be dishonest if done for the purpose of bypassing the DDP rules.

I don't know . . . I guess I think worrying about an extra guest--who's a local--crashing for one night and not being on the DDP is a bit much. Maybe I'm a loose cannon, but I just wouldn't worry about it.
