Extra person charge

After how many people due you get charged the extra $2 a person on the campsite?

I'm thinking its 4, but I don't remember for sure. With Disney in their ever increasing zeal to nickle and dime you to death I'd wouldn't be surprised to see them say that the camping charge is for the vehicle and the per person charge applies to everybody.

When I called to make my reservation a few weeks ago, I inquired about additional charges should my Dad decide to stay after towing us in. The original reservations are for 4 of us. The CM told me there would be no additional charge for the 5th person. ??? I thought I had read it was $5 per person per night. Again, ??? That's why I asked to begin with. I know $30 is not a huge amont of money, but I did not want to spend it if my Dad had absolutley no intentions of staying.

The "official" rule is $2+ tax per night if over 2 adults.

Unless they need Magical Express, it is easy to add them when they arrive.

$2 but don't add until he gets there. When we did that after someone advised it so that they could get all benefits including free airport transportation, they did not charge us any additional money. So don't add ahead of time.

When I made my reservations earlier this week, I asked about having my sister and her two DDs join us on the site. I was told that there would be no additional charge whether I added them now or later. So I added them on right away. I was told my site fee was good for up to ten people.

Whenever I made our disney reservation I booked for 3 adults and had to pay an extra 2.00 per day for the extra adult. When we got to the Fort my other dd decided to go with us so when we got there I added her onto the reservations also as an extra adult and they didn't charge me anything, go figure, I even asked how much do we owe you and she said "nothing ".

Thanks for the info. We won't need ME, so should he decide to stay, we'll just add him when we get there.

Out of curiosity, unless you tell them how many people are in your camp site, how would they know anyway? Not that it matters, just wondering?

They really wouldn't know but you will need the " room key" for extra magic hour for sure, we had to show ours on every ride, even my dd in a wheelchair had to show hers. Plus the bathrooms after hours etc..

They wouldn't, unless they will need their own KttW card. They charged us the extra $2 for Mom to have a key card even though she was staying at SoG! It was worth it to have her able to get through the gate unattended, but still.

:santa:

:confused3Do they come around and check the number of people on your site? I mean, really! It's not as if they have to provide another bed for each extra person!:rolleyes1

No they do not check the number of people on your site. However, they DO count how many adults and/or children they create room keys for.

If you want your extra guests to have their own room key, with charge priveledges, entry to the shower house/laundry room after midnite, Extra Magic Hours, etc., then they will need a room key.

If they don't need any of that, then use your judgement on whether you tell the front desk.

I would never try to "hoo-doo" Disney or anyone for that matter. I'm sometimes too honest for my own good. And besides that, I talk too much, so I would "tell on myself" in the the end if I wasn't honest up front. (Just ask my parents. :))

I was just curious about some of the ends and outs of the Happiest Place on Earth. I keep telling my family, "When I grow up, I am going to work at Disney World."

I wonder if this extra person fee does not exist anymore. The CM who took my reservation was very clear that there was no extra charge for my sister and her kids, but that there would be for my dogs, payable on arrival. I scanned the disney FW web pages and could find no mention of the charge for extra adults.

I know that I made a ressie for 4 adults and 1 child and was not charged for the additional adults to the campsite, of course when I get down there to check in it may be a different story.

Question: Does this extra fee apply to a Disney definition of "adult"? In restaurants and for tickets, "adults" are over 10 years old. Or does that definition apply to the real world's definition of, say, 18 or more? :confused3

We've had more than two adults with us on almost every trip we've taken to Fort Wilderness, and we've registered everyone on the site and gotten a KTTW card for everyone. I think I've been charged for an extra adult once (out of over a dozen trips).

Adults as far as the resorts are concerned are real adults. The travel agent confirmed my reservation as three adults and five children, and she had asked for the children's ages, one of whom is ten.

We had my parents stay with us at our site over spring break this year and were not charged anything extra... and I have a trip booked for my b-day in November where my best friend and her family are staying with us for the week and were not charged anythign for that stay either- when I booked I was told that there is a 10 person max on the sites. I guess as with everything else- it depends on who books you...

I am not staying at a camp site but i was not charged for 2 extra adults in our cabin. Hope that helps.
