Extra Magic Hours ??

Very confused are the evening extra magic hours for the month of October one hour or three. The Disney Website says:
Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing, for Disney Resort Guests.
So how do I know if its 1 hour or more?? Thanks

From what we have seen it is one hour in the morning or three hours at night. A couple of years back they charged $12 for the 3 hours of EMH at night (never a charge for the morning EMH). Now EMH in the evening is a perk for Disney hotel guests.

Yeah, they used to charge for e-Ride nights, but that was only at the Magic Kingdom-- EMH happens at all the parks (not all on the same day, though- the day that park's scheduled for).

Kitcat, I'm with you - a bit skepitcal that in a less busy time they'll be three hours. So far it looks like since they were started they have always been three hours. No way really to know until we get into October and hear from other Disers. If you are going in early October, I'd check with the hotel at check-in.

it's always 3 hours at night. The "UP TO" is a CYA disclaimer just in case they do have to close early for any reason.

Don't worry, even during value season it's still 3 hours, which is great because the parks close early during that time.

Yep. Even back in January, when EMH first started and it was below freezing one Sunday night, MGM stayed open the full three hours extra.
