extra magic hours

It depends on what you are hoping to get from them. It's free and it will extend your park time. As for the evening EMH it has been reported to be more crowded than the morning EMH by far. Some have reported it to be just as crowded as the daytime crowds.

I for one still think extra hours are extra hours. So, I'm all for it.

Set your expectation level accordingly, clearly not the same as e ride nights based on previous postings. ;)

We just got back yesterday and avoided all emh parks. We would go to MK the morning after extra magic evenings and we virtually walked onto every ride. We always went at regular opening and then hopped to another park for the evenings. By scattering our time we were able to do everything we wanted with little or no wait. I would personally avoid both of them. I felt the most sorry for the throngs of people I would see at the early entry park bus stop, on a early entry day, at 8:30 or so, telling their kids that because it's early entry, they could ride everything before everyone else got there.....it was already 8:30. We arrived at a different park between 8:15 and 8:40 for a nine oclock opening and we couldn't believe how much we got done. Good luck!

Sorry if this makes me sound REALLY stupid, but what exactly is the difference between e-ride nights and evening EMH? :confused3 Also, (think I posted this somewhere else without getting a response) I know people have mentioned lone lines at MK during EMH, are all the rides equally crowded or is it more the attractions that would be crowded during normal hours? Also, would I have to wait until after the hours begin to obtain a fastpass? Sorry for all the questions! :flower3:

I would totally avoid the EMH unless you have hopper tickets and can leave later. Lots of people staying on site are buying NON hopping tickets and going to EMH. (One there they are stuck and can not change parks no matter how crowded it is.)

From what I have heard EMH gives you more time, but you spend it in line rather than on rides. If this it true, then you see just as much with regular hours and you have more time in the evening to relax at your resourt.

Good luck which ever way you choose.

We just returned last night. I have to agree with the way to crowded EMH hours in the evening. The one park that it ight be worth going to is AK. We went to this EMH evening and it wasn't as crowded as the other parks and it was a bit cooler. Ak is just so hot and this is the only way you can go in the evening. We got all the big things we wanted to do by going at 6 and staying until 9.

To answer LadyDulcinea1:
The old E-nights were only held at the Magic Kindgom. It cost something like $12.00 for each person. I understand they only sold a maximum of 5,000 but rarely, if ever, reached that number. The EMH are for all the parks and from what we witnessed at the Studios last month it is totally insane. We were only able to ride TOT once using Fast Passes. We were lucky to overhear a Cast Member tell someone that they repopen the FP machines when EMH starts. I saw them closing the TOT machines about an hour before EMH. They did reopen at EMH start and we grabbed ours right away. After exiting the ride the FP return was way into the night and the stand by was crazy. We checked the times on the board and everything was really a long wait so we left. We did not do any other evening EMH during our stay. I understand the Animal Kingdom is pretty good. I have also read that they do not open the FP machines at all the rides so I don't know what is going on there.
Just some friendly advice.....skip the evening EMH (except for AK). You can get SO much done if you get to any park at opening time.

I 100% agree with the poster who said to only use the am EMH if you plan to leave the park early and go chill out till dinner or switch parks. EMH is GREAT, we always do it a few times during our week at the world. At MK, we ride BuzzLightyear like 5 or 6 times in a row, first thing then go hit Winnie the Pooh (we LOVE that one) with only about a 2 minute wait. We do a few more of the biggies over that way, then head for Adventure or Fronteirland. By lunch the EMH parks are a nightmare and we go running screaming from the parks!

So are EMH parks ok in the morning but horrible later in the day....?
