Im going may 9 thru may 14 and I think the opening early and closing late hours is a great idea... I have read Disneys offical anouncement but am unsure of the hours for Epcot. Disney says that the park listed will be open 1 hour early and/or 3 hours late, in the case of Epcot where Furure world is open 9:00 till 7:00 and world show case is open 11:00 till 9:00 how does it work???
Does anyone know how this worked in the past? Should I assume that you get into epcot at 8:00 on early days and can stay till 12:00 on late nights?

Thanks

The cast member I just spoke with said All of EPCOT will be open till Midnight May 9, well all in the sense of both sections but only the listed rides.

Really!?! That would be awesome if all of WS stayed open!:Pinkbounc

Not to contradict McCall, but according to a CM at CRO that I spoke to yesterday, the EMH additional 3 hours will be added to the regular FW closing of 7pm so the selected attractions will remain open until 10pm, not midnight.

Ooops, never mind. I just saw McCalls post on another thread. Looks like he is working with more recent info that I have.

You could ask 50 CMs and get a lot of different answers without a definitive one. Personally, DW and I aren't expecting an answer on Epcot's evening hours until we get there and see the hours printed on the World Update with our own eyes. The Extra Magic page on WDW.com was a major dissappointment in providing new information. And I still have to question the site because it says that the Kilimanjaro Safari is open until 8:00 PM during the EMH. With sunset occuring right around that time and no lights on the Savannah, what the heck are you supposed to look at?

LOL!! My drink went through my nose when I read this, you're too funny and you're also right::yes:: in questioning this because AK NEVER stays open past 6:00pm, its because of the animals.

Actually about two years ago I was at DAK during Xmas week and they had nite time safaris. They put giant flood lights on the trucks and the animals are everywhere. It was really neat.:)

In that case, it would be very cool to see the animals at night, it must be something they do for the holidays. I remember specifically asking a CM about late closing and that's what he said they will not keep the park open too late because of the animals. I guess they changed their minds or the CM was wrong. It wouldn't be the first time! LOL!

Actually, AK is open till 7pm May 29 and 30 and 8 pm on May 31. Several nights in June also have closing times of 7 and 8 pm. I haven't been to WDW in a warm month in a long time so I was excited to see these extended hours at AK during our trips this year. I have also been there during Christmas/New Years and while AK often stayed open later, they closed the safari at 4pm. I wish I had been there when they were doing the night safaris with floodlights though.
