Extra magic hours

We are bringing my nephews along for the first time. My six year old nephew has eczema and some emotional issues and won't have a magic band because he doesn't like things on his arms. If we stay for extra magic hours, five of us will have magic bands and he would have a room key. It's been awhile since I showed a room key for emh. If I put it on a lanyard around his neck to show will that be ok? Will we have to scan it or take it out each time? He may be freaked out if we have to take it on or off or scan it.

You should be fine without him having to even show his Key Card.

The CMs will see he is with your "group"-often they will only scan one MB per "group" anyway.
