I'm wondering where you present your room key to get the evening Extra Magic Hours wristband. Everything I've seen says at designated locations prior to the park closing, but which locations are these? Do they change?

Maybe I should have posted this on the "Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies" board but I didn't think of that until now.

I was there for test run and we could pick up our braclets 2 hrs before reg park closing. WE could get them at gates, and few other places throughout park. I know in case of MK it was one behind castle

Last year MK was the only park to have extra hours at night. I believe we could pick the wristbands up anytime after 4:00. The tables were set up to the left when you first walk into the park. I believe it is the City Hall and Post Office to the left. It was really good as the lines got shorter and shorter.

We did EMH Evening at MGM and got our wristbands towards the left of the main entrance gate, where you put your room key in. Just show the room key and another CM puts the band on your wrist. We also did EMH Evening at MK and we got them at the main entrance as well because we were leaving for an hour or so to get more clothes to put on (it was cold outside!) and I spotted the wrist bands being distributed. There's a link somehwere on wdwinfo.com that tells you the locations where you can get them. You can get them at numerous places all over the parks.

As for being handed out all day, I'm not sure. I didn't see them being distributed before the 2 hour time schedule.

Yeah, every resource that I read tells me that you can only recieve the wristband only 2 hours before close.

We were in Disney for prez. week and found the EMH to be great. U get the wristbands 2 hours before park scheduled closing by showw your world pass at several locations. We stayed at MK till 2 am one nite no lines anywhere the kids had a blast but be ready for a late start next day. we spent daytimes at the pool and went to the parks at nite
Well worth it.

Can we obtain wristbands after closing (during actual hours of nitetime EMH)? Also, do the members of my party have to be present to recieve wristbands... or can 1 person get them for the whole group so long as resort guest proof (room key) is provided?

Very good questions...I have another one. How do you get a wristband for the extra morning hour if the park isn't open yet? at your resort?

I think everyone has to be present. They put the wristband on your wrist (works like a hospital bracelet where you cannot take it off easily), they don't just hand them to you. I think there would be concerns that you could pass them off to someone if they did not put it on.

Yes you can. ~:)~

As the previous poster asked, can you get the wristbands after
actual park closing, but during evening EMH? for instance, if you
are at dinner during the 2 hr time frame, or at another park?

where do you /how do you get them after closing?

The night I went there were cm's right inside the gate with the wristbands.

I don't know how helpful this is after the fact, but I got a wristband last Wednesday night, about 9pm, in Adventureland, near Pirates. There was an area marked off, and I had to show my resort key to a CM, who directed me up some steps to another CM with the wristbands. I know there were three or four other locations in the park, other than at City Hall, which were also handing out wristbands. Later in the evening, after midnight when the EMH started, there were long lines in Fantasyland as CMs were giving out wristbands to guests then as well.
