Two adults, no kids - President's Week
Would we be better off avoiding the EMH parks on the designated days? Don't need to ride specific attractions multiple times.
Teacher - can not adjust the dates, but would still like to go to less crowded parks during this crowded week.

Personally we avoid the EMH park of the day and head there in the afternoon. Too many ppl now take advantage of this and it is very crowded. However if your not with kids you might want to try it. I would just suggest that you get there about 30 minutes earlier then you need to that way you are one of the first ppl there

With two adults, if you plan what you want to do, I think the am EMH are VERY worth it.

We go to the EMH park 45 minutes before it opens, ride stuff for about 2 hours or so, and then move on to another park.

You can do a TON in those first couple of hours IF you show up before opening and know what you want to do. Then spend the rest of the day in another park at a more relaxed pace.

I completely agree. The Extra Magic Hours are great. When we (a family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 kids) went to Magic Kingdom for the last 2 hours of the Extra Magic Hours, I was able to go on Space Mountain, Indy's Speedway, Big Thunder Mountain, and watch the parade. :]

Oops I think I was thinking of the early morning hours. What are the extra hours?

There are certain days where certain parks open until later times only for resort guests. Like, for example, one day, Magic Kingdom closed to the public at 9:00 and opened until 12:00 AM for the Extra Magic Hours. :]

The evening EMH is definitely worth it in the MK. We stayed for one about a week ago. The only crowded area was Fantasyland (Peter Pan was so busy it may has well been Noon on a Saturday). We rode Big Thunder several times with no wait, Splash with no wait, Space Mountain with no wait, Pirates was deserted, and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy all with less than 5 minutes of waiting for each. :cheer2:

Are all the rides open then and also do you pay extra? I know there was point when you could pay for this, is it now free?

Thanks for the info, we may do this a few times

EMH is free for onsite guest.

I love EMH. I'm a teacher and my son is in high school. We can only go when school is out. :crowded: :crowded: :crowded: However, we still have a great time.

We did EMH at MK, MGM, and Epcot during our Spring Break trip last April. We had a blast at each one and never had to wait in huge lines.

My family went to evening EMH at Magic Kingdom. We arrived right as the Spectro Magic Parade was ending. We walked up Main Street behind the parade and stopped at the hub to watch wishes. After Wishes, we hit the Indy Speedway, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mtn, we then stopped for an ice cream cone, next we went on Splash Mtn twice, Big Thunder Mtn, then ran back over and went on Space mtn again. Never waited more than 5 min.

The only other EMH that we took advantage of was morning at AK. We went straight to the safari. The animals were active, and really close to our Jeep. Then we headed over to Dinosaur and rode that without waiting.

Both times were time well spent.
