well i am just wondering if there's one night that I may not want to do the after hours if she could just take my place? She's staying off property about 1 mile away. thanks!
I don't think that would work since the resort ID is your hotel room key too. They all get conencted in one card that is tied to your fingerprint. So, if your fingerprint doesn't match the card, you can't get into the parks.
that is correct. it will cost her an admission, so it wouldn't make sense if she didn't have a park hopper, but they should let her in, just not give her a wristband which is required for attractions.
Nah...they are not that strict on the fingerprint aspect...my fingerprints are tied to my AP, but there are times when they don't match up and they manually let me through...
But no, I would think the 'right thing' would be for the people to whom the keys/ids belong to to be the only ones using them.
Well, technically she CAN'T "GET in" during EMH, but she can come in during REGULAR hours, and then "STAY in" after EMH starts.
Once EMH begins, a guest must show a WDW resort ID (and a valid ticket) to come into the park.
If the guest comes in during regular hours (s)he may stay, but is not allowed to ride any attractions without an EMH wrist-band.
just for the record, i'm basing what i said based on reports that guests have seen non-EMH guests enter during EMH. i don't see why it would be disallowed personally, but I would consider it a waste of park admission.
But, one of the things that makes PM EMH a bit different for shopping is that those who are used to waiting until a park "closes" and then shopping a bit as guests exit the park will find that the CM's generally "lock-up" the shops at the exact end of EMH.
It was very strange to exit MK at 1am with all the strips of cheery light-bulbs still blazing... but to also see all the doors on the Main Street shops (including the Emporium) CLOSED.
